Yes it was on BBC Berks. Can a mod move this back into it's own individual thread again as it shouldn't be part of the football-rumours posts? That said, a rare occasion something posted on football-rumours.com was correct.

Reading have had bids accepted for Cameron Jerome (£?), Charlie Austin (£2.5m) and Billy Sharp £1m accepted.

The club want two of the three, with Sharp having already held talks and the club hoping for a response next week before they fly out to Portugal on their pre-season training camp.

Mikele Leigertwood is on his way to Leeds after Reading accepted a £500,000 offer for the 5th choice central midfielder. Brian McDermott has been working on this one for several weeks and will get his man if the player can agree terms.

It is indeed a partnership, and it will be a very similar set-up to Galatasaray. Both clubs will exchange scouting information, nutritional and sports science data, and Juventus will send youngsters on loan to Reading as part of the partnership. Talks are at a very early stage, so don't get too excited just yet.

If it comes off then that would be fantastic for the club, but let's not count any chickens just yet.

Is there an agreement with Gala that we can loan any youth players or fringe first-teamers? If we had both in place that would be quite something!

i don't understand why nicky hammond was involved in the talks. i assume because of the loans side of it and selling to them how their players will benefit coming here. probably answered my own question really.

Burnley fan...

Charlie Austin looks to be on his way to Reading, chaps! I came on here many moons ago to tell you he was coming from Swindon to us! Burnley have accepted a 2.8m offer (contrary to the £2.5m reported). We can't afford to let him go for nothing next summer and the club will be relieved to get his 'off-field problem' off our hands.

READING are closing in on their third partnership of 2013, this time with Italian giants Juventus.

Nick Hammond (DoF) and Nigel Howe (CEO) have been in Turin recently negotiating the link-up [confirmed by Nick Hammond on tv Radio Berks yesterday].

The partnership will be very similar to the one agreed earlier this year with Turkish giants Galatasaray (Hi Leeds), and Juve's youngsters will come to Reading on loan, and Reading's Cat 1 academy will also send their youngsters to Italy for work experience.

Talks are at an early stage but the club hope to make an announcement before the start of the season.

This comes after another partnership was announced recently, this time with Formula One's Marussia team, which see's "The Royals" logo appear on the car, and the Marussia logo appear on the back of the Royals shirts.

Wonder if we will we get to watch them play us in friendly rather than having to see them facing the likes of Shrewsbury?

This chap claims to work for the club. Quite why you'd admit that online and make it glaringly clear who you are, I don't know.

- 14 Jul 2013 16:22:51 I will be driving billy sharp to reading tomorrow, that's is as much info I can give right now.

Then 2 minutes later..

- 14 Jul 2013 16:24:56 I have also been paid to take him to Heathrow the following day.

Reading will this week complete the signing of Southampton striker for £1m.

Talks were held last weekend and Sharp is expected in Reading in the next few days to sign and fly straight to Portugal to meet the squad at their training camp.

We (Doncaster) were interested but could only offer £400,000 up front and the rest spread over time. This was rejected by Southampton.

There was noise of Forest and Leeds interest but neither club can move without selling first.
