poohs pure Let's face it. Williams is dogshit and if Newcastle really want to give us money and take him away, then absofuckinglutely yes please.

We owe them one after they sold us Danny Guthrie.

tidus_mi2 We owe them one after they released Danny Guthrie and we picked him up on a free transfer.

really liked him when he first came, but last year I spent a lot of time actually examining his game and he spends a lot of time hiding near opposition players and pointing. then occasionally bursting into 'energetic' life for the benefit of the crowd doing the same series of cut backs while turning like an oil tanker, and passes a lot to the opposition.

sell sell sell

Tragedy? No.

ED's sad passing is a tragedy. A player moving on is hardly that. In light of recent news, some perspective may be needed.

What a difference a year makes. Several were saying that they wanted him to be captain this time last year.

John Smith A bad week for the club. Tragedy if this goes through. He's one of the only Prem quality players left at the club yet everyone here is welcoming it due to his hot-headedness.

You need a blend of attitude and player types in any team and he will be badly missed if this is true. Interest from a club the size of Newcastle and Aston Villa is an indication of his quality and that alone should be enough for you to know that he must stay at all costs.

Love the avatar, champ. No nonsense!

Tragedy. Prem quality... Fcuk me.

He's a BBB with attitude to spare - just the sort of character we can do without. Best mates with Royston Drenthe when he was here. Says something.

If someone wants him, rub hands with glee and drive him there.

Stick Gunter in the same car and drop him off at Villa on the way

Yep. I could really do without another season hearing Dellor tell me week after week that Gunter is an amazing athlete.

Yes, after all what would we want with one of the best right wing-backs from Euro 2016 in our squad?

Money to invest in someone with a bigger heart when the going gets tough.

International tournament performances are a ridiculously unreliable indicator of the ability / application necessary to perform throughout a Championship season.

Except - Chris Gunter does perform throughout a Championship season. Virtually every game, every season. So what if he can't singlehandedly gee-up the rest of the known universe - if the rest of the team was as reliably decent, we wouldn't need so much backs-to-the-wall motivation.

Are you discounting the Norwood links or the Tishbola links then ?

As far as i'm aware nobody has put a bid in for Norwood....

Has anyone put in a bid for Williams ?
Has anyone put in a serious bid for Tishbola ?
This supposed 'interest' is meaningless until there is an acceptable bid on the table. Until then stop worrying !!

Can we worry now?

Whilst you're right in some respect, we were storming the league in the early stages and I think we only need a few tweaks here and there to be a very decent side. I don't think Villa or Newcastle will walk the league, we know how hard it is.

In what respect is he right?

That's a weird expression isn't it? Anyone know it's roots? I mean how can you be right in respect?

He is right in respect of our final league position, however our initial start does counter that point.

I hope that answers both questions?

Did you go to school or?

Well you answered my first question as to what merit his asinine comment had though I still disagree that our end result was so bad that our entire team should be replaced.

My second question was where the idiom "in some respects" originates. That you clearly did not answer..
To put it simply how long has "respect" been a synonym for "aspect" as the expression seems to imply.
