The most surprising thing about this is that he's only 26...

How many years ago did he leave us? Must of only been 16/17

I once signed him on football manager. He demanded to be one of my highest earners, scored no goals, was generally shit and then led the squad on strike when I dropped him. It's a no from me.

Lot of promise as a youngster, does also have a connection to Reading’s Academy before his family moved so might be tempted to come “home”. Is big and awkward and certainly a handful for defenders. Would give the much needed focus for Reading’s attack though has never been particularly prolific.

Decent (not incredible) goal scoring record at Champ level but if fit, a very good player at this level.

No question of talent, just of keeping him fit.

Be the perfect fit for him at Reading then.

If fit, the right type of forward for us.

Don't think we should take a risk on him though personally.

Well, Wickham is likely a risk, agreed.
Most anyone out there that's available to us at this stage will have some doubts/questions/issues surrounding them.
Quite a few thought Oliveira would be a risk, too.
At 26, and assuming we have nothing else lined up by now, he could be an option. He'd offer something different.

I actually remember saying to my step-brother, who is a massive Spurs fan, I'd like to see Kane come on loan to Reading. This was the summer right before his break-out season, just the 21 goals in the premier league followed

Definite no from me:-

"Injuries have hampered his time on the pitch at Selhurst Park, though, and he didn't play a single minute in the 2020/21 campaign due to injury".

How is that a reason not to sign him?
