WestYorksRoyal If we add Gibson, Ng & Riquelme, do we call this a good window? I'd still say we're 1 DM light, but certainly in decent shape.

I think so, especially when you add Laurent in there as well.

4 good solid signings (hopefully) and filled (or at least tried to fill) glaring holes in the squad (full back).

Still a few weeks to go in the window so there is still time to get a couple more players in if VP thinks we need it.

It would alleviate a lot of concern. Doesn't solve all the problems as you say, definitely light a DM.

Don't see how we can bring in back up for Joao without moving multiple strikers on given our very obvious financial problems.

Certainly doesn't appear to be the mental cash splurge suggested as the reason for twisting on the manager, which makes the change all the more bizarre to me. Though less concerning for the future of the club.

Still reckon we could use an out and out left back / wing back.

I guess it's a question of availability and the right players being out there. Also worth noting he played a couple of games on left midfield for Fleetwood last season, so may have more going forward than CB/LB implies.

This one is over the line, focus now on adding an attacking mid?

So is the aim for this bloke to be 4th choice or a starter? I’m confused

Like the look of this signing. Just seen his interview and he said all the right things. Said we’re a ‘massive club’ (we’re not) but the thought that counts.
Also nice to see Porno posing for pictures alongside the new player with his thumb upturned. Like to see that.

Hopefully he's signed with the intent to compete at left back and center back. Richards, Moore, Morrison all deserve to stay in the team.

Starting with the Wycombe game on the 20th, there is a midweek league game every week bar one until the new year. Looking to go through that spell with our existing defensive options, in terms of numbers, would be foolish.

Already lost our first choice RB after 1 game. There will likely be a lot more injuries this year. Good signing.

Will stick my neck out on this and say I reckon he’ll be a very good player for us this year. Pleased with it

I'll stick my neck out and say he'll be a mediocre signing for us. Just to be different.

Hopefully he is the second coming of Matthew Upson and hopefully we can cash in on Liam Moore and invest a CDM and a right and left back.

I'll stick my neck out and say I'll see how the first month or two goes before deciding which hill to plant my flag on and die over him.

I will say that if he significantly blocks opportunity for McIntyre, Holmes or Richards and isn't here next season I'm likely to be pissed.

Yes hopefully we'll see more of this. It's a decent rule for life that people should have their thumbs up in photos.

boring fence sitting

If McIntyre, Holmes or Richards are better than him then they'll play instead. Or they should do anyway.

Yes I agree! I’m on board with needing another CB as Holmes probably isn’t ready, but replacing a young player who needs developing with another young player who needs developing doesn’t make a great deal of sense.

Someone with more experience, like a Miazga would’ve made more sense. But good to strengthen at least
