Can Premier League players only move to the Championship (or league 1/2) now? If so, are we gonna see some loans that wouldn't usually happen, with players like Gray getting sent out to get game time before being flogged in Jan?

Depends. They may move internationally if the respective windows are still open. Portugal for example closes on the 25th, hence Felipe Anderson probably still going to Porto.

Gotya. I guess what I'm trying to say is, will Gylfi be coming back on loan?

I see he has played for England U18/19/20/21 but not the senior team

Is he likely to be good enough for us?

132 premier league appearances for a team that’s finished on average 7th over the last 4 years suggests probably so.

Absofcukinglutely yes and recent speculation has seen him linked to Leeds and Everton, although in fairness, that seems to be the press rumour mill rather than anything concrete.

Just talk to generate interest. I’d expect him to move permanently to another PL team. Still football is a funny old game (but very probably not quite funny enough for Reading to be able to land him).

Absolutely. I don't believe for one moment we'd be top of the list for a 24 year old who's been a regular for a Top 6 team for the past 4 years.. if nothing else, WCBAMFP, but in response to snowball's question, yes he is plenty good enough for us.

He'd only not be good enough if he went on to play for the full national side. The youngsters are quite successful.

The premier league window is shut isn’t it? So his only option is moving to champ in the short term.

Just realised Premier League teams can no longer trade between themselves. That would be why he's been made available to the Championship. <what Woodley just said>

He is OOC next summer so maybe someone gambles on buying him on the cheap, knowing there should be resale value next year as I don't think Leicester will want him to see out his contract on loan. But still, wages would be a problem.

However, if it is a case of he's available and we can afford him no problem, I'd say go for it. Just not convinced the finances would add up.

I’d like to think he wouldn’t be on that much, he was signed as a young player from Birmingham and I don’t think he’s had an extension. Might be comparable to our top earners? Maybe that’s naive.

Bournemouth tried to sign him in his Birmingham days and got quite close.
Hopefully now that they have Riquelme they won't be involved.
Would love to see this one happen.

Maybe Leicester want one of ours (Rodgers connection) such as a returning Liam Moore or somebody else.

If the subtlety was intentional, nice one!
