Brogue to quote Paul Ince on the 29th April

'The budget is in place hence why it'll be tough next year. The embargo won't be lifted until the season after so it's important we stay in the Championship next year'

'We're talking about free agents, loan players - not players for fees'.

I'd rather believe the manager of our football club rather than a couple of fans on a football forum interpretation of a generic one size fits all FA document on how transfer embargoes work.

Trouble is you don’t bother listening to what people say or doing any reading yourself.
I’d be amazed if we paid significant fees for anyone unless we make big sales. Doesn’t mean we can’t pay fees. But you’ve had it explained many times so I doubt you’ll
Get it this time either.....

Ok, if we pay a transfer fee this summer I will pay £10 to a charity of your choice, and if we don’t, you will reciprocate?

Why ?
I said I doubt we’ll pay a fee. I’ve never suggested we would.....

Surely even an undisclosed fee would be evidence that we have paid some sort of fee for a player?

I can't imagine it would be a decent sum of money though and I don't think we will be raking in the cash from player sales either. For example, if we sell £8m worth of players and that permits us to spend £100k, I doubt we will spend that unless we find a real bargain somewhere. It's hypothetical of course, as we don't actually know.
