Just browsing their forum and past history, they absolutely love him. "highly rated", "too good for league one", "if we keep him thats a play off spot guaranteed" - positive indeed.

This is now a done deal apparently. Very pleased with this.

Hound Excellent stuff. Think this will turn out well

We’re slowly getting there. Another midfielder and an LB and we aren’t far away

Think we need a minimum of three midfielders, two left backs, probably a left winger and maybe a striker if Puscas goes, plus a CB with some pace wouldn’t go a miss.

We'll probably sign two slow CBs and another keeper tho.

Is this a loan deal or permanent?

I haven't had much chance to look, is he still at Forest or has he left this summer?

We could certainly add depth but we have the bones of the side if we add another 2 mids (possibly Drinkwater, Luongo or Shackleton). We can certainly start the season without a LW or another CF (Hoilett, Meite, Ejaria, Ince, Azeez, Joao + u23s) even if Puscas goes

LB is the next priority after the CM. Can certainly see another CB come in as well

Cheers.

If we were to sign himself, Drinkwater, Hendrick and Shackleton (getting all unlikely but even 2/3), then that's a good midfield for me for the season that is definitely capable of surviving in this league, plus we've got Tetek as well and it's starting to look up there.

If we are able to bring in a LB or two as well as a decent CB, we've got the makings of a good squad well capable of surviving then, with some wriggle room left in terms of another loan (assuming the 3 above go through) and maybe another player or two in certain areas i.e. a CF (to replace Puscas) and a creative, attacking midfielder (could be the loan).

I agree with this. If we can keep Joao fit and motivated and become hard to beat we can give most teams in the Championship problems.

Happy with this.

Coming to us as next step on development rather than coming back from injury and by all accounts previously looked too good for L1. Just the right kind of signing. Hopefully opens the doors to a couple more soon.

Nothing to dislike about this, although I'm sure someone will find something.

Mate. You didn’t win the moderator role! Listen it’s called “Squadwatch”....so all sorts of stuff is being posted on there including a watch on who might be joining. . It doesn’t have to all go in the rumours thread stuff. Room for both.

Based on comments - its a positive signing and the sort of player we need and should be recruiting.

Well done to Zip Jnr. Good work.
