genome I think that’s the first bit of moderation I’ve seen on the website in actual years

And the least needed.

Eddie off that there Twitter - stating what we probably all guessed - nothing signed yet, doesn't know why but remains confident it will be shortly.

Off on holiday tomorrow so looking forward to ignoring this for a week and coming back to find out we've give the job to Ian.

This is dragging on too much now. Hopefully this is done and dusted this week. Like others have said, maybe the hold up is Wilder looking to confirm who his backroom staff may be (fingers cross that's the case.)

It really isn't. Bowen is doing his job and managing all team affairs until the new manager comes in. It will take as long as it needs to. Plenty of time before pre-season begins and pre-season is already planned. Relax.

Personally, I don’t see this happening. I just think he’ll get better offers and he is playing a waiting game. Blackpool and Cardiff have managed to get their managers appointed nice and early. I’d give him a couple more days and then move onto the next candidate.

I’d be happy with Nathan Jones and I just want someone appointed in time for the preseason friendlies.

It's not a big deal yet as football is essentially still on holiday. There is barely any deals being mentioned at the mo - Bowen and co will have a timeline, they will have a "drop dead" date and, if rumours are to be believed they have at least one back up if Wilder falls through.

The issue is simply that the Wilder rumour has just dragged on, it's been what 3 weeks since it was first mooted and people just don't have patience levels any more.

Have already seen people stating, that as he hasn't taken the job yet he can't be committed etc etc - despite not having the first clue on what the situation actually is. And no, the club should not be communicating what the situation is until there is something concrete.

Agreed. It's currently the off-season so there is no mad rush to get someone in place. Obviously sooner rather than later and having something decided and finalised would be ideal but if we lose another week then we aren't losing much anyway.

Who knows what the hold up is, but if/when it gets done, then it's done. I'd encourage the club to put a bit of speed into it though before some of the fanbase go into absolute meltdown, if they haven't already.

Sat outside in the garden on my phone and noticed the following on Twitter (from the supposed ITK who said Wilder was possibly signing last Tuesday):

https://twitter.com/OliB_RFC/status/1665718080427765760

It’s us now, not him

Because other managers are still interested and somehow Bowen has decided there could now be a better option supposedly

I wonder if this "better option" is Nathan Jones.

Well that would just sum up this dipsticks ownership. Could get Wilder, then d1ck around wanting Jones, and end up with the Notts County manager.

Yeh, fcuk around, find out. We won't get another manager of his caliber, so if he's willing to come we should be doing everything we can to get it done. Given what a basket case we have been/are it's no surprise he wanted to take his time. If we miss out on Wilder because we wanted to talk to Ryan oxf*rd Mason then we deserve everything we get. Which will probably be Mark Hughes.
