I know he's not andrew, but I thought they'd both gone a bit off the rails. Could be wrong.

Unless Bowen has a very good reason (maybe Wilder's plans just conflict with his own too much), then he's insane to want to look elsewhere. Ever manager is a gamble, but I can't think of many better candidates right now than Wilder.

Agree and as I said earlier, I am definitely not renewing my season ticket until a manager is appointed and it's one that I think is a good choice. I'm sick to death of this club just screwing things up and sick of spending every other saturday and Tuesday watching utter dross.

I was hoping this Wilder appointment would come through and show a real sense of determination and direction. We've still not had much of an official update from the club - Bowen may have put a message out yesterday but that was after weeks. Other clubs like Southampton and Leeds had messages out that same evening saying how they're going to try to get back on track

Yeah agree. I don't think Nathan Jones is a bad option or anything, but considering we've been billing up appointing probably one of the most promising managers we could get (on paper) in the last decade, it would be a bit poor if we were to turn up that opportunity when it seems like it's very much in our hands.

Our silent absent owner has the ultimate say and influence over affairs at the club. Bowen is working under very difficult conditions it's safe to assume. Unable to provide reassurances as to what the future holds for one thing.

Serious suggestions Uke?
I guess with the success to some extent of both Warnock and Hodgson last season the appointment of an experienced manager can be the way to go- beware the lurking Redknapp.

Martin O'Neill will be the next suggestion...

Serious Uke?
With oldies like Warnock and Hodgson having some success last season the call for experience over potential may be how we will go and Wilder would have been one to fit the bill.
So, are Martin O’Neill and Redknapp waiting in the wings along with Curbishley ?
I still have a feeling that if it is not Nathan Jones it might be Karl Robinson especially if there is to be such a thing as a long term project.

Apologies for posts that are similar- the bright sun makes it tricky to see on the phone what has been submitted.

Don't worry - as they say "Great minds think alike"!

Steve Cotterill is 58

Now you’re talking- the man has the enthusiasm of an 18 year old.
I did suggest earlier that Wade Elliott is a young (ish) possible but others felt that he hadn’t done enough however we are shopping at Poundland, not Harrods.
Come on Reading, put us out of our agony.

Here we can witness the Twitter lot calling the social media manager a pcunt because we haven't signed a manager yet.

Well apparently the club shouldn't be tweeting anything at all unless it's a manager announcement or a Dai statement.

Problem for people growing up with social media is they are so needy for social media.

Desperate need for content, any content. Even if there is no content.
