Nathan Baxter Loan

by One8Seven1* » 01 Jun 2023 14:39

Chelsea keeper OOC - Source Pete O'Rourke (usually pretty solid) but says loan deal.

Not sure what that means for CBC who I'd rather see given a go as No. 1.

Don't think he is anywhere near ready for a number 1 spot. Would much rather send him out on loan to get some match experience at L2 or NL level, with Anderson to come in as number 2.

Don't think it would be a loan for Baxter either from Hull, seeing as he is a Chelsea player and his contract expires at the end of the season.

He'd be a better option than any of our current keepers and would free us up to send CBC out on loan which I think would be more ideal.

Definitely better than Lumley based on last season's stats but he played a lot less.

Think it's permanent, on a free transfer, as he's ooc in June.

Could potentially do the Chelsea thing of signing a new contract then being shipped out on loan.

Although just read the article and doesn't say anything about a loan.

The Twitter link initially showed a picture of Baxter in a Hull shirt and that we were after him on loan. Since been edited.

Hull fans are saying he's far too good for L1. Had a brilliant first season there but then injured a lot of last season.

Player going down hill with injury issues? Snap him up!

Looks a pretty decent option, with some reservations.

The players we're being linked with are encouraging. Young, but not inexperienced, strong backgrounds and room to develop with the potential for value added sales.

Worth a go if his wages are sound. CBC not ready needs a loan at a club where he can be a No.1, Keep Andresson as No.2. Tidy.

Played 12 times for Hull keeping one clean sheet, some of his other clubs were Solihull moors, Woking and Accrington, this doesn`t leap off the page at me.

Good job you’re not doing our scouting then :)

He played 30 times for Hull for starters

Adam Federici had loans at Maidenhead, Northwood, Carshalton, Bristol City (where he made 0 appearances) and Southend before breaking into the Reading first team at a similar age.

In fairness, he played 12 games for Hull last season. 16 the one before. And 16 for Accrington before that...

So the twitterati just haven't looked at history
