Reading are the subject of Arab takeover interest.
The Sun says Royals chairman John Madejski is understood to be close to agreeing an £80million deal to sell the Championship club to a Middle Eastern consortium.
Multi-millionaire Madejski, who made his fortune through Auto Trader, took control of the club in 1990.
But he has been looking to sell since they were relegated from the Premier League the season before last.

This deal was ready to through weeks ago, but JM had a change of heart and the deal collapsed.
Not sure if the deal has been ressurected, or whether the papers are just a few weeks behind.

My mate's dad worked on drawing all the paperwork up. It's not dead, and most people behind the scenes still believe he'll sign, but the worry is by the time he's ready to, the arabs will have pissed off.
Maybe we'll get a call to 'prayer' every Saturday at 3pm!

If he does sell the club soon it would explain why the players who command a fee have been sold off. To balance the books before a sale presumably.
