REFWATCH: Bristol City v Reading

by Barry the bird boggler » 25 Sep 2011 14:48

And on the mark for Tuesday's tense local derby is South Yorkshire's very own

Craig Pawson

Dodging the witty crowd remarks about being too fat/old/lazy/blind are flag wavers Wayne Barratt and Andrew Turner
The spare is Adam Nunn

Previously with Mr Pawson

09 Apr 11 > Nottm Forest 3-4 Reading
20 Feb 10 > Blackpool 2-0 Reading

Last time out

24 Sep 11 > Scunthorpe United 2-1 Yeovil Town

I seem to remember he shirked out of sending Keith Southern off for an ugly two-footed lunge in that game.

You remember absolutely correct. A challenge that these days is considered awful punished merely with a yellow. Off the floor, two-footed, over the top of the ball, into Gunnarsson's shins. I seem to remember Gunnarsson went off injured not long afterwards as well.

A classic game - probably my favourite of last season

But Mr P did his best to keep Forest in the game with some dodgy calls, incl. two pens
