good OP Floyd, I quite like the symmetry of losing over both legs to Cardiff so I've copied you and out that one in

Jackson Corner
mr_number
Jackson Corner I can see Cardiff doing us in the final. The irony of losing to a Welsh side for the second season running................ :(

Is that irony?

Considering there are only 2 Welsh teams in the football league, what would the odds be of losing to them at Wembley two years on the bounce?

Not sure...but it's not ironic.

PieEater I'd be happy with another trip to Wembley, win or lose.

Automatic promotion is all a bit of an anticlimax.

Not if it comes on the last day of the season when the outcome is still in doubt. Anyone off to Brum for the last game?!

Play-off semi-final dates appear to be pretty well undefined as things stand. Only information I've seen is that the semi-finals will take place from 3 to 18 May. However, as the Championship final is much earlier than usual on 19 May, that presumably means something like 3, 4, 6, 7.

With the first game only five days after the end of the season, and a short gap before the final, ticket offices will need to be busy. Apart from Reading's, of course.

I'm feeling leeds to beat us 1-0 in both legs. Deflected goal up at their place from a free kick, second leg at ours and we batter them for 85 minutes and then becchio crashes home a cutback in front of the leeds faithful to send them into party mode for the last 5 minutes.

What happens if we go up as champions but only win the league on the last day of the season? Would the trophy be presented at brum or in a special thing at the madejski?

This was a serious discussion until you went and asked a daft question like that.
