Nah, you're alright.

:P After the bottom club put five past Adkin's parachute payment fat cats, losing by the odd goal to promotion contenders would represent a serious improvement...................................in the eyes of those blessed with at least an average sized brain.

I don't know who played particulary poorly, or worst still looked half arsed, but Adkins commented that he learnt a lot about a few players, so I'm expecting a couple of changes come QPR. I'm hoping to God one of those isn't Gorkss coming in. He's no better than what we have.

------------------------------------- McCarthy -------------------------------------

Gunter ----------------- Morrison ---------- Pearce --------------------- Bridge

McAnuff ----------------- Guthrie ----------- Baird ---------------------- Obita

---------------------- Pogrebnyak ----------- Le Fondre -------------------------

Back to 4-4-2 and stop dicking around with 4-2-3-1 which does not work with these players!

---------------Federici----------------
Gunter-Gorkss-Morrison-Cummings
-----------------Baird------------------
McCleary-----Guthrie------McAnuff
------Pogrebnyak----Le Fondre------

Subs: McCarthy, Bridge, Pearce, Akpan, Obita, Robson-Kanu, Blackman.

Federici had played well in his two games and didn't deserve to be replaced by McCarthy who had a real off-day vs Weds, looked as if he'd been hurried back. Defence was absolute dogshite on Saturday, perfect opportunity to make changes and give others a chance. Agree with a couple of others about bringing McAnuff in for Obita, the former is a real leader and even though I'm a huge Obita fan I think experience is required for this week. Front two both scored last week, more of the same please.

Shame we can't use Michael Hector. He's just scored an absolute cracker for Aberdeen

Not a clue who will be available.

=============McCarthy================

Gunter====Morrison===Pearce=====Bridge

===========Baird====Guthrie==========

================Williams==============

Drenthe========================McCleary

=================Pog=====================

I firmly believe Pog, Williams, Drenthe, McCleary and Guthrie are the match winners and they have once played together.

Get that^^ team out IF POSSIBLE and we will smash it.

'Greed. An extra man on the pitch is just the thing we need for a change in fortune.

St. Brynjar Think a fair few might lose their place after that. I have no idea who will be back, but I'll guess that Bridge, Sharp & Drenthe will be in contention.

Goalie is a toss-up, McCarthy didn't cover himself in glory but Adkins has clearly decided he's number one and will want to support him. Defence has to change, we should go 4-4-2 and I think the midfield needs freshening a bit.

----------------------------------McCarthy-------------------------------------

Gunter------------------Baird-------------Morrison------------------Bridge

McCleary--------------Akpan-------------Guthrie------------------McAnuff

--------------------------Pog----------------Sharp-----------------------------

Potentially put Gorkss at CB.

Subs: Federici, Kelly, Pearce, Drenthe, Alf, Obita, Akpan/HRK

Agree with most of this. I think Baird at CB is a good idea, has alot of experience and is a better player than Pearce. Id also like to see Akpan given a chance, he is a decent young player. Would have HRK instead of McAnuff though, and Le Fondre instead of Sharp.

McCarthy

Gunter
Pearce
Morrison
Bridge

Guthrie
Williams

Blackman
Kanu
McAnuff

Pog

McCleary has been, quite frankly, dire in the last couple of games and we can't afford to carry him this weekend. Blackman looked handy when he came on up at Sheffield and tbh I think he deserves another chance as much as anyone.

GMac is frustrating. File him with Rougier, blessed with ridiculous pace and skills, but he doesn't seem inclined to use them. Do we over-think players like this? Give him space, ask him to run with the ball. Then do it again. And again. And then again.

In fact Rougier used to run at defenders more than McCleary.
