Bradford away- biggest game in years...

by Winnershroyal » 16 Feb 2015 19:56

The potential if we win this is massive, exposure and cash.

We Have to take full allocation to this, surely.

We can request 15% so that is about 3750 tickets

Sunderland had 4000 so it is doable in the ground (Bradford can only refuse a request for 15% in an FAC game on safety grounds but the precedent has been set with Sunderland

FA Cup rules state that away clubs "have the right to claim for up to 15% of all accommodation".

Valley Parade has a capacity of 25,160 and usually allocate 1,840 to visiting teams. However, 15% of 25,160 is 3,774 so, presumably, it is up to RFC to claim the full 15%.

Will RFC want to risk having to take 4000 tickets and not selling them (but having to pay for the lot) or will they go for the safe option of taking 1800 which is the TL Dallas Stand, used by away fans.... :? this is even before the usual points debacle... I'm happy to be proved wrong though RFC if you are reading this..

Trains seem to not be an option looking at Trainline.com

Can fly there and back in a day from LHR with BA but only if we are early KO on Saturday. Southampton on Flybe isn't an option as they don't have a late enough return flight

We will take the full 4000 need STAR to push the club for free coaches ( like Man City in 2011) as trains and driving difficult . 60-80 coach loads would be great atmosphere!

Good questions all, but they have to assume we will take many more than we took to Derby.

Free travel would seal it

I live in Yorkshire and not a member, how easy will it be for me to get a ticket do you reckon?

Evening guys.

You'll get between 4,000 and 4,500 depending on segregation which I can't see being a massive problem. It gives you one of the stands down the side of the pitch.

Looking forward to the Phil Parkinson derby already.

This is exactly what happened 4 years ago against City in the QF. Surely they've learned their lesson?

I presume you know he's still an absolute legend in these parts.

Do you guys still have the ridiculous City Gent? Last time I went Dean Windass bit Ricky Newman then conned a penalty - not a good day out

Yep. More than aware he's a legend down there, there was a bit of fingernail chewing going on when Adkins was sacked.

Nope. The City Gent got sacked for getting to slim (although the fact he likes a tipple a little too much may have had more to do with it) and it caused a little bit of a stir.

Glad you've got good memories of your last visit

Bottom line is finances...or lack of and whether the club want to take the risk of the larger allocation bearing in mind the distance and the fact it will be televised and have to pay for it or go with the safe option and making as much money as possible out of the game to help with the debts...the fans wishes won't come into it...

Obviously I want us to win but if there's one team we have to lose to, I'm delighted it's them.

Such a good draw for both clubs. They better fcuking put it on TV.
