In tears. Also my daughter's birthday, so I am reminded each year.

Promotion before the end of March. Insane.

One of the darkest days in the life of RoyalBlue, a joyous occasion for everyone else.

Maneki Neko I cried like a little girl.

I have to admit to having a "moment" up in the stand next to the Leicester fans. Having watched my team bumbling along in the bottom two leagues for most of my life and thinking the Bolton play off was the closest we would get I was overcome to say the least. An amazing day at Leicester and back in the 'ding afterwards.
A big shout to the stewards and fans at Leicester who helped make the day special.

I was lucky enough to be there that day - it will live long in the memory 8)

Must also endorse the comment re the Leicester fans they were very gracious - maybe their own dream will come true in a few weeks time...... I for one wish them good luck !

I was unable to get a ticket for the Away section so had to sit in the Home bit, but just by our supporters - there were a few us doing the same. Had a bit of a moment with a Leicester supporter who objected to me taking a seat from a Foxes fan, but with all the other empty seats around that area, he knew he was never going to win that arguement

The final whistle was indeed a great & joyous moment & like ayjaydee, from what I had watched at Elm Park from the late 60s & then at the Mad Stad, I'd never ever dreamed that we would hit the heights of the 1st Division/Premier League.

Think I'll give the 106 DVD a play later on

Did the same and had a ticket in the home section. When Kevin scored I jumped up in excitement but had to curse him to hell to preserve my own life. But fair play to the home fans, they knew who we were and at the end they were actually wishing us good luck for next season.

I might be the only one who didn't really see this day as the moment of the season. We didn't win the league this day for a start. You knew we were up at Christmas, 66 pts before the end of December

A great day, but others moments from the season hold better memories for me. 2nd half at home to Derby to win the league was just a total demolition job. On the pitch. Epic. Moment of the season.

I am with you on this Tony-it just felt like our destiny from around Christmas onwards rather than one specific game.
The same when for the next time when we had those 2 away games in a week at Brighton and Saints-I couldn't tell you the actual game when we were confirmed certainties for promotion I just know that in beating those two we had the momentum and nothing was going to stop us.

Having to pick and choose away days very carefully so as to take my fair share of parenting duties, I could only listen on the radio.

The Mrs. had a mega hump on that day and was not impressed when I had finished off a bottle of Cava or some such by 6:30.

So, for me also, Derby was the day.
