How many pints to stay up?

by leon » 13 Mar 2018 15:04

I'm going to say 4-5 pints pre match will be the magic number to survive an entire match at the Madejski.

How much does everyone else need to get through a game?

Usually do tins and then don't have to mix with people in a pub. 6 would normally do it with a half time top up

Don't drink much. Lots of chocolate. Each to their own

Find alcohol makes me generally feel sleepy, so avoid at all costs before watching us at the moment

Do however pack a nice flask of Espresso based coffee which i sip regularly throughout. Seems to do the trick. Taken also to eating a bag of crisps during the match, which is slightly odd as I hardly ever eat them otherwise

Surely sleeping through the match would be far preferable to watching it these days. I stopped going because it made me so angry each time I went and so being able to sleep through it sounds fantastic to me.

Forget pints, I want shots - ideally on target.

Fair point. Been a bit cold to sleep though. I do remember feeling quite drowsy in that Hull 1-1 home game when it was lovely and sunny. Could easily have napped in that one

Saturday KOs are 11pm so I'm normally pretty steamed by the time the whistle goes. This has helped a lot this season.

Govt Health advises that the more your drink, the less you stay up. Ask the missus what she thinks your fresh hold is.

I have genuinely started blocking out the sound of the game by playing a spotify favourites list in my earphones throughout the match, that way At least I am listening to something I enjoy even if I have to watch the dross. Hey, it gets me through.
