Sky Sports saying they have been given a sneaky look at the line up for Mondays match (thanks for letting Tunisia know 3 days in advance lads!)

Young
Henderson

That’s just the line up they went with in a training session, which it appear a fair few of the media we’re at or heard about (and so Tunisia’s too perhaps?).

Sounds like it’s the probable starting line up though. I’d go with Rose and Loftus-Cheek ahead of Young and Lingard though.

Nothing, he’s just not needed alongside Henderson in Southgates preferred formation (I see it as 3-1-4-2, but I’ve seen a lot of reference to it being 3,3,2,2).

Interestingly* Dier and Henderson haven’t played together for England since we qualified and Southgate made the switch from 4 to 3 at the back. Dier and Livermore did play as two defensive players in midfield against Germany and Brazil though, so I still think we might see a similar approach against a team like Belgium.

I never used to rate him, always saw him as a Cleverley type - only in the sqaud cos he's a young United player. But... he's won me over, and scores important goals. I think he'll be our top scorer if he plays.

Sterling, Lingard and Alli is too many players who'll ponce around the pitch trying to overcomplicate things taking people on unnecessarily and running into trouble IMO.

I'd much rather see Delph or Loftus-Cheek in for one. Rashford for another and certainly Rose for Young.

I know our first two are up against lesser teams in our group so in theory we can go a bit more gungho, but I think we could do that with the more solid players in there. Then there's less of a change needed against anyone of a higher standard.

I never used to myself, but he's a big game player. Useful asset in the squad IMO

After all the drama of the past few days, and the apparent difficulty that the 'big' teams are having at putting away the minnows, I think you'd have to be delighted to come away from this evening with an underwhelming 1-0 win.

All the hype is doing my head in, can't bear it.

I think we will win but only just.

as on all such occasions, my knees have gone a-trembly. Been following England since the 1970 World Cup. It's been a rollercoaster.

Come on lads.

Agreed. Even before the last few results we needed to be realistic about the ease of turning over Tunisia.

The weekends games should have served as a good warning to both players and fans as to what to expect.

Apart from the dangers of over-confidence, which this well prepared England side appear to have covered, that's nonsense really. The only thing I'd glean from the games so far that applies to this evening is that the African sides in this world cup are so far hopelessly over-matched.

Absolutely cannot wait for this, avoid defeat and we I will be content, but I would much rather see them send out a message with a 3/4-0 win, just like the Russians.

Can see this being a very frustrating night, bit like the Algeria game from 2010. I am going for an 85th minute Harry Maguire headed winner.

A comfortable 2-0 win (0-2 if we're being pedantic)

Distinct lack of hype this year, have we finally accepted we're not gonna win it this time round?
