Does anyone else find ITV's coverage a bit... depressing? Can't quite put my finger on it, but there's just something about it that feels turgid and brings my mood down.

The theme music is awfully dull as are the graphics. They have the problem that all of their main presenters are boring too. Lineker has his faults but he has represented England and scored a lot of goals for his country. What has Mark Pougatch ever done for me?

watched the game at work, with radio commentary and it was noticeable how much the talk sport commentators were creaming themselves over brazil, way over and above the quality of their football yesterday.

Gave very little credit to mexico for their very good start and workrate.
BBC were much more balanced about it

Again you're wrong. That was the only decent commentary contribution from Glenn Hoddle in the 15 years he has been doing commentary.
