retro royal Was having beer in Southern Spain last week, and was told that Chris Coleman was being lined up, this information came from someone high up the chain. I have no reason to think it was ball shit, I did spit my beer out at this prospect.

I hope it is balls because I can't think of a much worse choice, would have rather kept Clement

Please no!

Although it would be pretty funny to watch the meltdown if Gunts went back to being first choice and captain...

Mark Warburton for me, seeing as my proper first choice has been nabbed by the FAI as Mick McCarthy's successor

NewCorkSeth Honestly I can't see the owners taking a punt on an untested manager. It'll be a "big name".

A big name costs ££, ££ we don't have. How many managers are we still paying ?

The Royal Forester Bryn. Gunnasson. He seems to doing quite well in Iceland. He has also said that his dream job would be to manage Reading. He may well be able to bring back the fans to the Mad Stad.

Oooooooo, yes!

Old Man Andrews Gabriel Osho has been recalled a month early from his loan at Aldershot. Someone is making these decisions, a new manager wanting all the recallable loan players back in so he can assess all of the players available to him?

Interesting! Or maybe it's Scott Marshall's job if he does OK in the next few games, and as he knows this, he's asking for U23 players he rates to be brought back in.

Edit: - Or may simply be coaching staff pointing out we're down to bare bones for centre backs.

The Royal Forester Sorry NCS that I coudn't be more precise, but my memory is not what it was many, many years ago.
The horses mouth was an unfortunate phrase to use, I suppose, I meant no offence to horses or Bryn. By the way, who is Peta?

It was a joke. Google Peta anti-animal language.

Alison? You can’t possibly mean Nigel

Need someone to get these players in check, someone with authority who knows how to get out the league.

All good appointing someone to keep us up but not really thinking long term.

Pearson doesn't get players in check, he alienates them. Plus the guy is a oxf*rd Fruitcake!

On the Radio this morning D T said that he did not expect an announcement until mid next week. Does this indicate they are waiting King Harry of the Jungle to be free by then?

The Royal Forester
NewCorkSeth Source for the dream bit? I'm all for making dreams come true.

The horse's mouth! Some time ago he said so in a radio interview, most likely Radio Berks, but could have been in Tilehurst End podcast or something along those lines.

Peta would be furious to see you marginalizing horses by using that saying..

I was hoping to read an article.

Thanks Zaskar. So it wasn't the radio, said my memory wasn't what it used to be. Article was dated 2013. He said
"not in the next three or four years". Timing seems to be just right. Nigel, I am sure you know his number, get ringing.
