---------------Martinez
Yiadom--Miazga--Moore--Blackett
-------Rinomhota--Baker
--------Ejaria--Swift--Aluko
-----------------Meite

Walker
Gunter
McShane
Kelly
Barrow
Bodvarson
Oliviera

Meite to work the defense hard all first half so that Oliviera can come on in the second to cause trouble.

have to agree with you on this one

I look forward to seeing Baker excel on a dodgy stream tomorrow then. Although I was under the impression he had a severe case of the mehs.

Why does it have to be Baker? I would put Ejaria in there personally.

It's on Sky, Ian. Surely you have Sky?

Why would I give that scumbag Murdoch hundreds of pounds a year to watch half a dozen Reading games?

Other option is actually going to the game maybe?

tbf, the red button is a dodgy stream in my experience of it :)

I'd have Baker, Swift, Rino, Ejaria and Ezatohli (if he is ever fit again) all ahead of Kelly in those CM positions personally

Well, either I cocked up and booked the wrong leave or the game was moved. It's not possible for me to get from Cambridge to Reading and back again for an evening game.

And right now I'm not willing to spend £40 and six hours travelling for the shit show we currently are. So I'm taking the advice I've given other people and am staying away until I can turn up with some positivity.
The club are welcome to the money from my ST in the meantime.

I think you'd like it at the moment though, I have been throughly impressed with the new found battling qualities we have shown. You coming to the Rotherham game?

Don't know about Ejaria my perception is Gomes sees him as more of one of the attacking three behind the striker. I'm open to him. Eza would be ahead of Kelly for sure same for Rino. I wouldn't ever start Swift in the two in front of defence. EVER. On Baker I'm not seeing a lot of praise. Kelly has been ok and his last performance was good.

I appreciate you disagree.

I'd have Mick Gooding in there ahead of him.

The back 6 pretty much picks itself

---------------Martinez
Yiadom--Miazga--Moore--Blackett
--------------Rinomhota--
--------Ejaria-- Baker -- Barrow
-----------------Aluko ----------
-----------------Meite -----

Walker
Gunter
McShane
Kelly
Swift
Bodvarson / Oliviera (or starting depending on fitness)
McCleary / Harriot

Feel Aluko does work better more advanced in the middle and Baker has the potential to play some clever passes. But my formation above does require the wide players to really put a shift in which could create us problems.

Saw a stat which said McCleary hasn't scored a goal in 47 league games, a truly embarrassing stat for a player that was finished two years ago

Well if he was in fact finished 2 years ago it isn't that embarrassing is it?

Even players that are well past their best can still chip in with goals and assists. Reality is he does neither and it's a massive hindrance to our goals scored tally considering Barrow, Aluko and Swift seem incapable of scoring either

And there, pretty as it is, is the big problem with playing 4-2-3-1 when you don't have a 20 goals a season player up front. You need the three behind to chip in a fair number of goals to make up for losing one striker's goal tally. When those three don't score many either, you have the problems we have.

If you are an attacking player and you can neither create nor score, what's the point of you being on the pitch?

Well in twenty four hours we’ll know, and hopefully any facepalming will be only to try and keep warm in Y21.

On the plus side, a Swansea special won’t ruin another weekend in our household..

After being 2 down at half time Rotherham have pulled it back to 2-2 in their game at Hull. Still half hour to go. So don’t go writing them off just yet....

Finally finished 2-2

Reading will get a battering from Rotherham if the Hull game is anything to go by. Very basic, direct, in your face, no time to settle football with the obligatory long throw specialist.

Time to stand up and be counted.

Yep, they’ve drawn their last 3 games, which was 3 points I didn’t think they’d get.
That said, I do think both Wigan and Millwall could still be in the mix, too many games left for them not to be.

Yep, as a group, the lack of goals from ‘non-strikers’ this season, under all 3 managers, is disgraceful. I posted the stats for this a couple months back, and not much has changed since.
