I noticed that too, the whole ground was cheering but the majority of the players didn't acknowledge it, would imagine we will get a lap of appreciation after the Birmingham game.

yes maybe missed Gunter (I wasn't taking notes :) )

But it was certainly only a smallish percentage. Maybe it was made more obvious by seeing Martinez and Moore making the big effort to come over to the ED

John Smith If you stay and clap players rather than dash out to the Hotel/Jazz Bar then that is your own fault as a person

A very large percentage of the EDS stayed and clapped on Monday

I think the players should sit in the stands and the fans walk round the pitch to be applauded

Good point on the end they are at when the whistle goes making a difference.

I think a lot tend to do a mini round in the centre circle clapping each stand rather than actually go over too.

One87One The Dolan Stand on Twitter has made a very good point to supporters wanting a season ticket in the South Stand next season.

If you already have a season ticket elsewhere in the stadium, you can move it permanently for the Birmingham game, thus giving you first refusal on renewing it before season tickets go on general sale!

A very good idea. We’ve done exactly this this morning and switched 12 season tickets.

C1871 are hopeful of a near sell-our for Birmingham, and next season it may prove difficult to get a ticket in there, so this is well worth considering.

As if you’ve just complimented the twitter account that you ‘run’ yourself  That is pretty desperate!

Whilst we’re at it, can you change the name of the account to the correct stand name please?

Not sure you're encouraging much of an atmosphere in the ED stand by telling people to go to the south stand.

600 already sold for Birmingham. C1871 usually have that many sold a day before the next game. It’s going to be a full South Stand so if you want a ticket or want to swap your existing season ticket for the South Stand for this game, please call the T/O as early as possible so as not to miss out.

I’m sure those of us in the ED Stand will cope. I fully back what Club 1871 are now doing. They are advertising it hard and it’s working. The atmosphere in the ED was great on Monday so the growing numbers in the South Stand are not having an adverse effect on the ED Stand.

Not saying it is. But seems like a strange way for this Dolan Stand twitter account to encourage fans in the stand by telling people who might want to sing in there how they can move to another stand.

Club 1871 don't have any effect on me either. Don't notice them for the most part during the games.

Just goes to show the idiotic comments and doubters you have to put up with when trying to get any initiative going.

Very pleased that its looking like being a success!

Gunts walked down clapping the East Stand but then stopped before reaching us lot in the ED Stand.

It's a good job Ian Branfoot eventually blotted his copybook or we could have ended up with the IBS.....

This is not a dig at anyone at all but debate has gone from....

Cringe, poor numbers, diluting atmosphere, this will never work, pack it in, embarrassing, to now saying it’s so good the players only acknowledge the south stand

Based on that outcome I think we can say it’s been a massive success.

Phenomenal success. It just needed that feel-good factor to return to the club to get the numbers up. We’ve enjoyed being part of it for the most part. Difficult to give up our season tickets in Y25 but the atmosphere is a big part of our match day enjoyment, so it’s become a no brainier really. Already looking forward to next season, which makes a change from going to games feeling a bit meh. From what they said today, they've sold over half the section already for Birmingham. It's going to be rammed every game next season!
