AthleticoSpizz so we are big and important enough to change our kits every season now then?

Whatever happened to that old two-season assurance

Crikey, we haven’t followed that for over a decade and some.

Simpler times I guess, Wallsy.

Sutekh Out of interest anyone know how Reading compare to the other league clubs a regards to the date their new kit is revealed and/or the date the new kit can be bought?

Are Reading really late with the release or is it fairly standard for the lesser league clubs?

Extremely late. Some clubs play the last game of the previous season in the new kit.

Do they? Like who?

* actually interested, not being a dick.

Chelsea do every year. Juventus did this year. There are other less notable teams who do it.

I agree though that it’s a rip off. Today it’s all about making money, and not giving fans value for money.

I’ve heard the quality of the Macron shirts is vastly better than Puma. That at least is something.

Really hope so. The replicas were awful quality last year, despite a decent design

Jagermesiter1871 Please don't be some rubbish ugly no name Chinese betting company. It's going to be isn't it?

I actually didn't think Carabao was that bad in the great scheme of things.

Yeah, I quite liked it too. Better than Waitrose, Kyocera and Westcoast.

Your kidding? The Carabao logo is an abortion of a logo and has wrecked potentially decent kits. Those original three companies you mentioned just had letters which was much better than that f*cking cartoony logo. I utterly hate it.

A nice local business, maybe Biffa. We are doing our fair share of waste management this summer

I'd love a local company. I didn't mind Westcoast, Waitrose or Kyocera. Just don't want a betting company or something like Cardiff's ugly MS word sponsor.

Where are the one or two usual reliables who hear something about the home/away kits? It’s bad enough this is a very quiet summer so far, but it seems HNA is following suit.

Hat Painting surely? Though there's possibly even less call from people wanting hats to be painted now than there was then.

That's one sponser we shouldn't have on our shirts with our record of defending leads.

Ericsson have recently returned to Reading (Thames Tower) having off-shored their telecoms teams to Bangalore, India in 2014.

SSE also recently moved their head office to Reading, by the Forbury.

These would be non offensive sponsors, however unlikely they might be.

Knowing us it’ll be Plumb and Plumber from Whitley Wood.

Virgin Media are in the process of moving their HQ from Hook Hampshire to Green Park. They are to move into the old Quintiles building which was vacated back in May, and is only a long goal kick from the Mad Stad. What better way to announce your arrival by sponsoring the local football team!

Would also link the age-old rumour that Branson wanted to buy the club.

And such a shirt would be very apt for the majority of our fans

Don't they already sponsor Southampton?
