Speculation: Keeper Watch

So, Lewis Ward departs for Exeter City and leaves us even lighter in goal.

We must have something lined up. The thought of Walker back in goal makes me feel physically sick!

I don’t think we have to worry about that for some reason, but I agree. I’d honestly rather see CBC in goal than walker

Walker wasn’t that bad really - poor game vs wba and a bit unconvincing at other times. Just average and would want to do better ideally. He was better than Mannone though

He was painfully average, and not up to scratch for the championship.

Smithies is far too good to be sitting on the bench at Cardiff.

I agree with Hound. His first game or two were pretty good iirc.

I recall him being praised early doors as our new No 1.

Adequate is a fair summary. Ie not great, but wouldn’t be too horrified if he started the season

Hmm. I’m not so sure. Would rather see Southwood ahead of him.

I feel we're unlikely to start the season with Southwood No 1. That's a lot of responsibility and faith in him.

Wouldn't be surprised if he started No 2 and earnt it through cup appearances and training if Walker has an off patch or gets injured.

Assuming we don't sign someone.

All basis covered there...

Tad bemused with all the Walker dislike.

Still young in GK terms, and was bought on the back of his rave reviews at Colchester....even Marcus was perceived as sh1t by Fulham.

Keepers are a rare breed, given a bit of confidence and a run in a successful team with a decent back four, he’ll be fine.

I may see a small flaw in the plan.

Did OK at Colchester and was signed by a shit manager who had him at academy level. Nepotism reigns supreme.

You're welcome.
