Blue collar street food doing the match day food stalls. What a ruddy great idea that is.

It’s got to be better than one of the burger vans outside the stadium which was God awful.

C1871 season ticket holder runs the company. So it's nice knowing where the money's going too (i.e. to someone local).

Hmm. No prawn sandwiches.

Seriously, delighted, hope the venture is a success.

Burger stall outside the ED stand ran out during half time. Saw Jackie Evans from the club there looking less than impressed. Let’s just hope it was first day teething problems.

Bonus for the vegan outfit next door, they were doing a roaring trade.

Think global, eat local I always say.

There was a "We're only here for the salad" chant from the Chelsea fans which I assume was aimed at the food options available? (Though it was followed up by a rendition of 'Celery')

Must have been a lot of late ticket purchases from Reading based Chelsea fans.

Sounds like BCS went down very well at the Chelsea game. Nice to have a such a varied menu and at fair prices.

Probably catered on the basis of a whole load of vegetarian/vegans turning up from posh parts of West London!

Well I thought the Blue Collar food was fantastic yesterday - wide selection, high quality, reasonable prices, good value. I suspect others agreed, given how customer free the food counters inside the East Stand were!

A great step forward by the club. I'd be interested to know what visiting supporters make of the arrangements now.

Given the popularity of the fan-zone area now, it would be nice to see even more seating provided and the lack of cover will clearly become something of an issue when more inclement weather arrives!

One little criticism that wasn't the fault of Blue Collar. Some bright spark decided that the Heavenly Sausage stall should be positioned right up against the railings to the entrance for the away support. Neither the stewards responsible for ensuring crowd flow/safety in that area nor the food vendors themselves (who apparently had no say in where they were positioned) were impressed! It's annoying that the safety team at the Mad Stad get really worked up about relatively low risk/likelihood issues and then miss something as obvious as that!

Must say the heavenly sausage stall was extremely good value and some of the best street food I have ever tasted.

Tried the burger and chips for £7.50. It is cheaper than the vans last season but I actually prefer the catering from last season. Handmade burgers are great and all but the burgers are too dry! Chips are triple cooked but because they sit waiting for so long they go soft. Came away disappointed. Sorry.

They're not dry because they're hand made, they're dry because they tend to have a much higher lean meat content. Fat burgers usually will be more moist!
