Zip I haven’t seen tonight’s game but beginning to think we need to drop Morrison. Should we continue playing three centre backs? It limits what we can do elsewhere on the pitch.
Rinomhota appears to have been poor again. Time for change.

Definitely.

3 at the back really isn’t working. Haven’t scored with it for weeks have we?

But more worrying there were huge gaps appearing at the back

So do we go 442 and drop Morrison? With Moore and Miazga along with Yiadom and Objta. Maybe “rest” Puscas and start with Joao and Baldock up top.
Who are the four in midfield? Ejaria and Adam. Possibly Pele. Who else?

I'd use 4-4-2 to chase games, rather than to start with it when Swift is back because there's no way he fits in a 4-4-2 unless he's shunted out onto the wing

Ejaria won't work in a 2 man midfield, far too much messing around with the ball once again tonight. It's a real shame Rino is playing as poor as he is the last few games, because we're seriously stuck for options

Not sure Adam can play two games in quick succession. Pele should be there and is probably slightly annoyed he wasn't out there tonight. Moore looked good in midfield at Bristol, but not sure about it, and would involve Morrison playing again, who's made some poor mistakes the last couple of games

If only we still had Liam Kelly...

Ha, assume your are taking the pi$$ with that last comment

Sounds like Swifty could be back for Sunday thankfully, though Yiadom is out for 6 weeks

Obvs changes things if Baldock and Swift are fit - 3-5-2 becomes more viable again

Jagermesiter1871 Charlie Adam - WHY THE FYCK DOES EVERY BALL HAVE TO BE A HOLLYWOOD CROSS FIELD PASS FFS!! It's predictable which makes it useless. Also no communication - numerous times jumped for a ball with another Reading player. All that said - probably our best player.

Ejara - trying too much, everytime.

Baldock - much missed. Chasing everything down - has to start

Moore - telling the players to calm down 4 minutes into injury time drawing to bottom of the league. No Liam - bust a bollock and get in their box. That is not an acceptable result and performance. He is pretty much the only constant in this underperforming team - is he the problem?

Starting to think you’re right about Moore. Has been poor for quite a while now, and terrible today, as were all 3 central defenders

It's certainly not working with no midfield creativity or threat going forwards.

But I fear very little would under those circumstances. Couldn't catch this game, but 4-4-2 against Brum was abominable.

Get a decent midfield and attack out there and the defence may well improve. We know they looked good enough when Baldock, Ejaria and Swift were fit and on form. We simply need them back or reasonable approximations as cover.

Puscas needs a break. Olise and Barrett are obvious back up for Swift and Ovie. Baldock and Ejaria are back.

Well Puscas is getting a break from the look of it

I’m hoping we improve vastly with Swift and Baldock back in, and hopefully Ejaria improving massively in that display last night. Obviously 3 very impt players
