stealthpapes Watford's week :?

Manager bounce or just a small blip?

If you're doubting Nigel's credentials then I seriously suggest you follow a different sport.

At least they have over a week off now until their next league game.

Pompey's great run continues. Now 3 points off 2nd place and 6 points off 1st place with 2 games in hand on those occupying 1st and 2nd (Cov in similar position)

Yep, looking forward to the potential of this fixture next season.
Got to give this ‘once fan-owned’ club coming back...no Harry Redknapps and a good old-fashioned ground.

Just a shame that it’s Portsmouth

Ollie Norwoods (who he?) Sheffield U have displaced £ Man U in the Prems dotted line top sector

Nice little cameo from Swindon joint coach and nice-guy Noel Hunt on the EFL on Quest tonight...they are doing so well

Always thought he’d make a decent assistant/manager one day, he’s got a good personality for it

Ideal (mainly geographical) scenario for me:-
Bournemouth relegated and/or Brighton relegated
Oxford promoted
Pompey promoted

I note that despite the PL asking its member clubs to respect the winter break, 8 of them (City, West Ham, Brighton, Bournemouth, Sheff U, Everton, Palace and Watford) have rearranged league fixtures for next weekend.

Is it not just their weekend to play? It's a staggered PL break. Teams have alternate weeks off.

Yeah

12 teams have the first weekend off, then 8 teams have the second weekend off

Didn’t realise that, sounds like a case of the PL trying to satisfy everyone at the same time. League One managed to do something similar this season as well....

Didn’t realise that, sounds like a case of the PL succumbing to Sky’s demand that the winter break doesn’t affect their coverage. League One managed to do something similar this season as well....

Corrected for you

Cracking stat this. Pep Guardiola called Spurs 'the Harry Kane team', yet Kane was out injured for 3 of the 4 defeats (and the last 3) Guardiola has suffered to them as City boss.

I reckon Pep may be in a spot of trouble if they lose to Madrid in the last 16 of the CL

Embarrassed by Liverpool in one competition, then that. Would be an awful season for City

(UN)Suprisingly unpopular opinion from me yet again: David Moyes should be relieved of his duties at West Ham after the most appalling performance and result of the season so far on Saturday. To surrender a two goal lead in their most winnable match in a torrid run is unforgivable and his position is untenable for me. Allardyce back in to rescue them before the season is over.

I'd have thought you'd be all over West Ham failing as it might save Watford

Not really arsed about anyone other than Reading really. What's your take on Moyes? Can he save them?
