Snowflake Royal Yeah... the age factor is certainly relevant though. And if your only measure of success is PL regular then you might as well close the academy because very few will achieve that.

The point of the academy is to produce players who can play for our first team who we can then sell on for a huge amount of money. On the evidence we have seen Danny Loader isn't good enough for the first team.

Really think he should have gone out on loan to a League 1 side this season, played week in and week out.

Look OMA, the future might prove you correct but so many players dont develop until their mid 20s. He is just 19 and is burdened with a weight if expectation. His apps have mostly been cameos.

Absolutely hope I am wrong about him btw, would love him to go on to have a great career. Based on what I have seen of him he will never be capable of playing any higher than he is now.

We probably thought that about Antonio. But I agree, we haven't seen enough from Loader yet.

Much stronger team tonight. Clearly going for it.

Not sure about the Puscas Meite duo again

And feel a bit for Rino who can’t even get a game tonight

Agree on both points but Meite and Puscas have both done well against Cardiff this season so can see why they start
Rino is very very unlucky not to be starting.

Still no sign of Boye - as far as we know he wasn't sent back in the window, isn't injured and he played in both games in the last round, scoring in the replay. All a bit strange...

Yeah, fair. I get the Rino decision I guess, Pele is the more defensive focused and Adam isn't going to move a lot... though Swift is handy these days.

I thought Meite and Puscas might work as a battering ram... but one doesn't really move and the other it just bounces off a bit too much. Both need Baldock in their ear IMO. Plus ideally you'd want wingers swinging it in to them.

When Meite and Puscas played upfront earlier in the season there was no communication between the pair. I got the impression they saw each other as rivals.

Jesus, htf is Aluko near the bench. God help us if we need to chase the game and we rely on him as an option. He is utter crap.

Last season's top scorer vs this season's mega signing. Yeah, would make sense.

And if you haven't already gathered you can listen to the game on the internet via the relevant BBC radio stations as it's not a league game.

1-0 down, players don't appear to be too arsed this evening.

Don't understand the reason for why we are playing this formation but we've been poor in past few weeks and not threatening enough in games. Bowen needs to review our tactics as it's not really working at the moment.

Walker apparently at fault for the goal with a poor clearance. He isn’t going to get many chances and I can see this being his last game for the club unless we progress in the Cup or Rafael gets injured.
