Royals and Racers
AthleticoSpizz Any news R&R?

2-1 Leicester 116 mins
Reading lose 2-1 really bad result !!!

Typical of their inconsistency and apparent lack of ability to kill off lower ranked teams (much lower on this occasion). It looked like Fara Williams wasn't even in the squad which would have been a big miss but still should've been more than enough talent in the squad to have won that game.

Won’t they ruin our pitch though ?

No. They play football, not rugby!

No, women tend to be lighter than men so if anything it’s the blokes that will be damaging the pitch more.

So they will be doubling the wear on the areas of the pitch that already get the worst ?
At least the rugby tended to spread the wear rather than creating bare patches like the football does....

Reading FC Women finish 5th in the FA WSL1 table for season 2019/20 when PPG applied.

1) Chelsea
2) Man City
3) Arsenal
4) Man Utd
5) Reading
6) Everton
7) Spurs
8 ) West Ham Utd
9) Brighton
10) Bristol City
11) Birmingham City
12) Liverpool

Another great season and achievement, particularly given the size and financial backing of the teams above them.

It also means that Reading FC Women will be a very attractive proposition for high quality players considering a change of club.

It shouldn't be a problem at all if the pitch is a decent standard, which I believe it currently is. There was an incredible amount of football played on the Adams Park pitch over the past couple of seasons and it still always looked really good.

https://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/2020/j ... t-players/

Following the early termination of the FAWSL season due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, all Reading FC Women eyes are now focused on planning and preparing for the 2020-21 campaign. And Reading FC Women can confirm that a number of first team players will not be renewing contracts at the club after their deals expire this summer.

We would like to wish Mayumi Pacheco, Millie Farrow, Jo Potter, Rachael Laws, Sophie Howard and Maxime Bennink the very best of luck in their future careers. And we also bid farewell to long-serving Royals Remi Allen and Charlie Estcourt.
