Rice, Phillips and Dier in midfield tonight. Utterly woeful selection. No creativity, ambition and guile. What does Grealish need to do?

Kalvin Phillips showing his class and why he is so highly rated this evening.

Not serious?

I only watched first half before losing interest but he was pretty anonymous
Apart from his top knot

Decent result for England tonight against a streetwise, organised and hard to beat Denmark.
Southgate is doing fine. He’s experimenting at the moment in the build up to the Euros.

Thought of the 3 midfield players he was the one who looked the more experienced. Rice and Dier were truly awful.

Yeah but that’s ok. He can only be judged on how the team do in tournaments.

I don't really have an issue with experimenting in a Nations League game. But the experiment didn't work, so move on and back to 4-3-3.

He’s been in charge since 2016, worrying that he still doesn’t know his best team and system

In retrospect, four points from Iceland and Denmark isn’t a bad haul but the football is so slow and so uninspiring and for the supposed depths of “talent” we contain, its disappointing

Still don’t think I’ve seen Sancho have a good game for England yet, not sure why Southgate consistently selects him each week. Not even going to start with Dier, he shouldn’t be near the squad, never mind the starting XI

Jamal Musiala will be an interesting one if he continues on his trajectory at Bayern. Born in Germany, but he qualifies for England having moved here aged seven (the five-year residency rule related to kids' education). He has played for both England (alongside Bellingham) and Germany age group teams - and might have a choice to make soon enough.

A few of the England lads have been at it again breaking the COVID regulations by having a gathering of over 20 people at Tammy Abraham's party. They think they are above the law or they are just very, very thick.
