Having said earlier that our ratio between goal attempts and goals scored is exceptional I checked how exceptional.
Last night we had just 4 attempts on target and we all know the next bit.
What will happen when we do start making more chances?

The future is bright, it is blue and white. (unless we are playing away against some teams of course)

TiagoIlori I absolutely love how exciting this team is, I really do get the 11/12 feeling for some reason at the moment purely because of how utterly ridiculous our form has been and how strong we are in the middle. The best bit out of all this is that we have heavily relied on young, exciting players who are only getting better, I absolutely love that. I think only four of the players that started last night are over 25 and they’re all in key positions where we really need experienced players.

I think you're correct here, I'm sure I read somewhere that Liam Moore is 27 - is that still the case?

Honest and fair comments but what an odd man filming himself in a car putting on a commentators voice

Will the pandemic derail our season? A bit concerned that if things get much worse we may see the season suspended. Then what?

I thought that. Similar to when we came second and the PL downsized.

Professional football will carry on regardless due to the strict testing, there is no reason to halt it.

yeah tbh I think they know they have to continue it - Sky won't be so generous next time with their money and being as the govt seem to be completely against giving any pro football any support, it'd mean massive losses of clubs

And with it being winter, dark etc, they need something to be on tv to stop everyone going nuts

Hound
Millsy Unrelated question sorry guys. How does Laurent pronounce his name? He sounds quite English to me so isn't it just Lorrent instead of Loron?
Is that just a Dellorisation ?

did wonder the same. He's from Leytonstone, not Paris. I'm guessing its 'Lorrent'

How JL pronounces his surname probably depends more on how his parents pronounce it than on where he was born though doesn't it?

Yes finishing second in 94/5 crossed my mind too.

Yep. The issue though is what happens if there a mass outbreak amongst players. As Hound says though the public are going to want football during what could be a long and miserable winter.

That was decided before the season started though. It's not like they decided to change it halfway through.

Just listening to the Guardian Football podcast and they do a quick EFL roundup and their journalist who is there to focus on Championship games said how brilliantly we were doing but finished it off saying that we have 'a tendency for slipping up and letting in goals' so that is where it may go wrong for us

3 goals conceded - some tendency that

Oh wait, that's one less than ANYONE else in the division

He's obviously looking at recent history (not this season) and hasn't read the "past performance is not necessarily an indicator of future performance" bit

Maybe his share portfolio is still rising

I had accidentally turned off the podcast without realising it and was instead overhearing a conversation where Mrs Biscuit was talking about old people walking in icy conditions and others allowing ghouls into their house at Halloween

Fairer to say it was a mainstream journalist and we all know how utterly useless they are.
