I went last time and it was one of the worst games I've ever seen as well as being freezing cold. A drab 0-0 and I can't recall a shot on target for either side. There's nothing appealing about an away day in Stoke.

Was that the game where it was so windy the ball kept moving before each set play?

It's *always* windy there.

How good are Stoke? They seem to flatter to deceive. Various people saying they have a reasonable chance.

Initial allocation of circa 1,000 sold out. Now increased to around 1,500. :D

Ark Royal
Jackson Corner I bet it’s still freezing even in August, I’ve never gone there and not suffered hyperthermia!

You obviously were not there for the opening game of the 95/96 season. Absolutely sweltering.

Was that there old ground?

Don’t think I ever went there but there is something about the new ground wether its high up exposed has gaps between stands there is always a swirling wind. And the winter months really bite. I remember a midweek game around 99 when Burns was manager the crowd was about 8k and a few hundred Royals had travelled up and it was bitter. We won 4-0 even Mckeever scored! With about ten minutes left I reckon we were the only ones left in the stadium! I don’t blame the Stokies for leaving I would have done the same.

They are dogshit - we are going to annihilate them. James Chester and the lads won't know what's hit them come 5pm
