       Meadow Lane, Nottingham, NG2 3HJ.
        Telephone: 0115 9529000
      By Train
If you're coming by train then Meadow Lane is in walking distance from
Nottingham station. Turn left out of the station into Queen's Road and
then take a right down London Road - you'll see the ground.
      By Car
By Car, exit the M1 at Junction 24 and turn towards South Nottingham on
the A453 and then follow signs towards the A52 towards Grantham. After
a bit down the A52 get on the A6011 towards Nottingham and you'll see
signposts for the grounds. Make sure you end up on the right side of the
river or you'll end up at the City Ground. For parking you'll find a handy
little market right near the away end of Meadow Lane - it costs a couple
of quid if I remember rightly, and strangely always seems to have spaces.
      Beer
Notts County is one of the very few Second Division teams to serve beer
actually inside the ground. It may only come out of cans but it's still
quite handy for a pre-match drink when pushed for time attempting to find
a pub. If you prefer a pub and have the time then there's plenty around
        - if you cross over the river you'll find the Larwood which is a decent
sized pub which also serves food on matchdays.

Notts County have just about enjoyed the upper hand over the Royals through
history. The two sides have only met the once outside the League though
with Reading recording an FA Cup victory.
        Reading wins: 18
        Draws: 12
        Notts County wins: 20
Figures include League, FA Cup and League Cup only.

        2000/2001 Season:
Lasts season the Royals lost 2-3 at Notts County with Parkinson and
an own goal on the scoresheet for the Royals. At home we kept the promotion
dream alive with a 2-1 victory at the Madejski:
        31 March 2001: Reading 2 Notts
        County 1
        16 December 2000: Notts County
        3 Reading 2
       1999/2000 Season:
The 1999/2000 season produced two entertaining league fixtures - we may
have drawn 0-0 draw at home but it was a day on which we did everything
but score. Away from home we pulled off an excellent 2-1 victory with
Forster and Newman getting the goals for the Royals:
        15 April 2000: Notts County
        1 Reading 2
        28 December 1999: Reading 0
        Notts County 0
      1998/1999 Season:
The 1998/1999 season also saw Reading take four out of six points from
County, but in not quite so much style. The home victory will be well
remembered - not for the quality of the football but for the freak own
goal from County that gifted us victory:
        30 January 1999: Notts County 1 Reading
        1
        28 December 1998: Reading 1 Notts County
