Taffy Blasts O.A.P. In Head With Ball

Back in about 1988/89 Linden 'Taffy' Jones always used to kick the ball
against
the South Bank perimeter wall after the teams came out.
Unfortunately, before one game his instincts got the better of him and
remembering it was the Branfoot era he managed to hoof a long ball over the
wall and smack into the face of an unsuspecting elderly gentleman.
Taffy then gave a 'sheep'-ish grin as he ran over to see if the now heavily
concussed man was OK.
Thankfully the trusty St Johns ambulance people were on hand to save the day
and Linden went on to play a stormer of a game! (...Maybe - I can't actually
remember).
