Re: Is it time the RFC ended Club1871

There was nothing wrong with the atmosphere pre-C1871. The same people who made noise in Y26 just moved over. But with a worse view. And a significant cost to the club to reconfigure the away end. It was a vanity project nothing more as evidenced by the attention seeking fella who runs it throwing ...

Re: Is it time RFC ended Club1871

traff The right side definitely provided better chanting than the left side in the good old days.
This would be backed up by my father who BTW knew Lloyd George.

By right side of course you mean the centre of the East Stand, which was right relative to the left. The actual right side was silent. :D

Re: Club website

If Couhig really wants to impress us he needs to beat the undisputed anthem of Reading FC ... "They Call Us The Royals".

A website alone does little to defend the glory of Reading.

Re: Is it time RFC ended Club1871

Chantstarter for years, many of them came through me and my crew but past it now. Atmosphere has been embarrassing since we moved to the new stadium especially after reserved seating but C1871 has been a decent step in the right direction. Pity the kids don't know how to sustain a chant for long per...

How the flying f**k did the ref and linesman not see the most blatant handball in the history of the SCL!?

Once again, there are cracks appearing in the commonly held belief that Dai was an honourable and decent chap.

Re: Rinomhota CONFRIMED

Not as old as I thought he was by now at 28. Yeah same here I was expecting a tired old 36 year old playing out his career here, but at 28 he's at his peak. Must've been like 11 or so when he played for us! A bit surprised that he's not wanted by anyone else, if he did well at Cardiff and is now in...

Re: CONFIRMED: Leam Richardson

Quite surprised. Horrendous at Rotherham and correct me if im wrong but didn't he have an overpowered squad to work with to get Wigan out of League One? Weird given the other possible names. I'm sure Couhig et al see something in him I don't, and obviously know infinitely more than I do about him, s...

Re: The inevitable poll for the next Reading manager

So refreshing to have manager already lined up and to be installed soon it looks like. None of this take far to long sack when it's been needed for months, followed by months of deciding whether or not to even start looking for a replacement etc Sad to see Hunty sacked, decent chap who did well unde...

Re: A few T-shirt ideas.

Good for you, I hope they are popular. £30 blimey. Inflation. Well you can buy from a noob account alleged Reading fan/ bot selling in dollars. Or can make your own design for far cheaper from one of the many "make your own tshirt" companies online. Either way not sure what this has to do...

Re: The non snowball stat thread

If you multiply this year (2025) by when we were founded (1871) and then square root the result you interestingly get 1946* , which just so happens to be the year of our biggest ever league win (10-2 against Crystal Palace). *Approximately Yes true, 1946.478 or so. But close enough to be undoubtedl...
