Re: BFTG - Cardiff

I've often wondered what Roy Evans thought of Fowler when he tried to convince the ref Seaman didn't touch him when awarded the penalty.

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

Did anyone notice Morrison sarcastically clapping the ref after a foul against him. Why no card for that?! Yeah, exactly that sort of behaviour. But that's probably the mildest example of disrespect tbh. Yeah, sarcastic clapping, walking away when called over, refusing to come when called, kicking ...

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

I agree. I find it shocking how it's just taken as normal for players to gesticulate at refs, argue with them, shout etc.. Whilst I prefer footy, I do admire the respect rugby players tend to have for the ref. It *should* be the case that even the slightest negativity to the ref by any player is an...

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

There needs to be more thought given to how they attract and retain young refs and punishments at all levels for ref abuse have to be severe enough to make it stop. I agree. I find it shocking how it's just taken as normal for players to gesticulate at refs, argue with them, shout etc.. Whilst I pr...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Ex-Southbank and East stand chantstarter here, generally disappointed by the new generation of chanters over the last 10 years or so but I have to say I like a certain chant, not sure what it is though. I'm sure you all know it, It starts (notes in brackets)... der(A) der(A) der(G) der(F) OOOPH (or...

Re: Will we get found out again?

Odd to worry about us not having a Plan B when we've already used at least 3 formations and used different players to do different roles. That's exactly why I'm concerned; those other formations/roles lead to 2 defeats and a draw in 90mins with a lower league side. So if by plan B we mean systems t...

Will we get found out again?

5-3-2/3-5-2 demolished Cardiff, and we clearly have the players to do it justice. Stam had only one plan, worked for a time until we were found out, with no plan B. I'm worried this may work for a short while but at some point it will be effectively neutralised and we'll struggle without another pla...

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

I thought Puscas showed many similarities to Shane Long today. I hope not. Good player for many reasons I suppose but he was hardly prolific. He reminds me of Forster. The guy took the ball from OUR HALF got his head down and just ran towards goal like a goal hungry maniac and scored. It was bloody...

AthleticoSpizz Our oppositions scouting teams will be doing some rapid re-visits

Got a good feeling

I just fear us being found out. There is a way to play against 3-5-2.

We don't want to do a Stam and have only one method that works until we're found out.

Re: Where will we finish?

Thought Cardiff [edit] looked decent and quite dangerous until we scored I agree, for the first 10mins thought they are team who'd bounce back to the PL and we'd be lucky to draw. They are by no means an poor team. And to me, it's not like they just lost it... they still showed their ability throug...

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

A lucky win against a poor side. Gomes - left out Rino??? Luckily it paid off for him. Ref - gave everything our way, without him we might've struggled. Rafael 3 - dodgy punches, not convincing in an easy game for him Morrison, Miazga, Moore - 2 each. Some scary moments in defence, they almost score...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (h) sponsored by Adam Federici

SCIAG
2 world wars, 1 world cup I never understood why we got rid of Morrison.

We were in a terrible financial situation and weren't in a position to reject the offer.

IIRC we had Pearce and Hector so didn't really need Morrison anyway.

Thanks.
