skrauze Has anyone dropped an e-mail to the Post? They might be intrested in the story, get some support going etc.

What story?

The fact that the club have chosen the bid they feel is more beneficial to themselves (for whatever reason). Shock, horror.

http://www.petitiononline.com/BBCBERKS/petition.html There we go guys, sign away, lets sort this mess out, because the club can't seem to! I fear it is too late for that, I'm afraid. Yep, if a tender has been accepted by the club then it is as good as a contract I believe (happy to be corrected). I...

I think Kitson lacks a sense of humour. Thats an understatement! he is a wimp too, for instance when lita got glassed in bristol, he claimed that he was no longer to be going to town in case he gets glassed! what a prat, im not really sure that reading fans would attack one of their own players! no...

I would seriously kick a stink up over this. If he's been in that seat for the last few seasons, it should be the new guy who's moved not him.

Another bollox decision from the club. Is short term cashflow really that desperate even with the hike in season ticket prices and lack of transfer expenditure? Surely the benefit of reaching a wider regional audience as a the only Premiership club in the wider area outside of London/Portsmouth has...

Gordons Cumming It would be interesting to hear the club's real side to this decision.

But we won't.......................

I would have thought it is fairly obvious GC.

Harold I'm of the opinion that friendlies are a waste of time going to watch unless for instance Reading play somebody like Inter Milan that have some good international players on show.

Even that is a waste of time IMHO.

joe999 I can imagine what Berkshire will say if they're asked to come back.

So can I, it's three letters long, it begins with Y, ends in S and has an E in the middle.

I think you are seeing the best business plan being put in place to make the club a viable proposition. If you think about what has happened of late then it all makes perfect business sense : Rise in ticket prices - Increase profit margins and income Two new shirts - Increase profit in merchandisin...

107 have announced dedicated shows to Reading FC every Monday and Friday as part of the deal. Maybe they are taking it more seriously now and an increase in quality will result.

Can't see the fuss to be fair.

A much larger majority of our games will be covered live either by television on the national radio stations next year. Listen to them.

Take note, negative posters (i.e. West Stand Tosser, SDR, Bracknell RFC etc etc) Real supporters have their say but they still support the team. That's what being a proper fan is all about. People are entirely justified to be as critical as they like about the team and the club in general - so long...

Was I dreaming or did Exeter actually beat Fulham 1-0 in a preseason friendly? Yes they did. And it means absolutely bugger all. We lost to Dorchester last year IIRC. Doesn't that depend on the teams fielded? Did we field a reserve team against Dorchester? :? Apparently Jimmy Bullard came on for Fu...

mattyougg The back is good; but i'm not too sure about the collar, and the vertical striped sholders.

The kit needs to isnpire the players - last season we had a supreme kit, look what happened to us then!

I thought last years kit was awful. This is definitely an improvement IMHO.

Didn't like the first photo I saw but having looked at the enhanced picture special. I actually like it.

The haphazard look is actually pretty cool.

cmonurz It shows the enormity of our task that if we win all of our games against those opposition (which we won't) we will have only 48 points. Going to need some shock results somewhere.

48pts will be more than enough to stay up. The most any team has gone down with is 42.

Reading v Tottenham 1988 - Gazza's debut for Spurs after signing from Newcastle - Luther Blissett guested for us and scored one of the greatest goals ever seen at EP...finished 2-1 to us, I think...? Wasn't that also Martin Hicks' testimonial? Pretty sure we won 2-1 and Gazza also scored for Spurs....
