Re: How times change

While they have indeed been tremendously successful, they have not won the Champions League and are the 5th richest club in the world, still behind United.

Re: CONFIMRED - Mark Bowen

Haha, the amount of naivety on here is amazing. I suppose Anton is still coming back to buy that 51% hey? The Thais weren't just after the land? Gourlay was a competent senieor exec? I've based the above upon the operations of Reading over the years, that is seems to have been (and continues to be)...

Re: This is Poor

Ok, I have seen every game this season so far and now is enough. This team is poor. IMHO I think its the manager and his tactics that are not up to standard as the players have shown themselves to be quite skilful. The substitutions were awful and the team immediately lost all structure. This nonse...

Re: BFTG - CharltonAdie who

Just out of interest, why do so many on here have it in for Club 1871? They've been brilliant all three home games I think. Just seems odd to criticize your own fans who are trying to make a difference. Can’t see any negative comments about them on here, just that they were out sung, which they wer...

Re: CONFIMRED - Rafael Cabral

All seems a bit fortunte that we had a need post Saturday and we've found and signed what appears to be a very sound solution in just 3 days. Maybe, just maybe, Jose had the potential identified and needed to convince the board, in which case I suggest there's a plan and room for Virginia.

Re: If McDermott hadn't been sacked (the 2nd time)

We cannot score is not a single strikers issue.
The state of the club is not a single manager's issue.
Our problem is the board.

Re: Message to Sir John Madejski

I think that some fans are starting to get a bit hysterical. The owners didn't buy the club to watch it go down the toilet (along with it's value). If all they cared about was land and commercial opportunities they could have just transferred what they wanted to a new company and sold the club back...

Govt Health advises that the more your drink, the less you stay up. Ask the missus what she thinks your fresh hold is.

Re: Boycott

The best chance of making our views count is with season ticket renewals. It's quite clear those in charge don't give a fcuk about our opinions and if they had any intention of sacking Stam they'd have done it months ago. I've decided now that I'll renew whatever division we are in if Stam has gone...

So, who's going to tell Stam. He clearly doesn't look at this board and the path to date suggests that there's not a fan he listens to.

Wonder if Chris Martin is now regretting his 'great squad' and 'opportunity to work under a great manager'.

If somebody was to come clean with the issues, I'd be 100% behind him and the team, after you're back to supporting a team, a club and a strategy.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield Wednesday (a) sponsored by total apathy

Relegate, we still have the stadium and associated real estate. Rebirth the squad and wage bill. Much more successful season in League 1 to build momentum. But a long climb back up, no guarantees, success builds success. Maybe we're still redressing a deep rooted problem at the club that started wit...

On Tuesday week we'll know for sure.

If sacked, then while possibly a compensation cost, a new manager expected to prove his worth by keeping us up without a transfer window and a promise to strengthen in the summer?

Re: Could Stam be contracted to his current style of play?

However bizarre the OP might sound, there is an element plausiblity. If so, then I agree, JS is showing his absolute tenacity and loyalty in taking the heat, and I can see why some in the club would get frustrated in the fans not understanding what the club are trying to achieve. And if so, then it'...
