Re: 150th Anniversary Thread - 2021/22

Nice crest and its great the club has plans in place.

Lets hope the team do the business, we were relegated to the 4th division in our centenary year in 1971.

Re: Should Reading change our club crest...

Looks like plenty of plans in place from OS which is good....including a new kit...maybe it will be narrow hoops circa early 1970's or even narrow stripes as per first ever kit??

Re: Rival Watch

Can’t see Bristol. Stoke are on poor form and have lost their best player. And don’t think they are up to much without him Colin and Boro worry me. Obviously knows the division etc, so absolutely delighted to see them screw up today I’d be pretty disappointed not to get the play offs from here Auto...

Re: Rival Watch

Didn't realise until now that Bournemouth's Junior Stanislas has suffered an injury that will keep him out for four to six weeks. Not sure how this will affect them. Well he’s made 16(2) appearances for them in the league so far and bagged 7 goals (only Solanke with 10 has scored more) so looks lik...

Re: Brentford game postponed

Need to start making teams forfeit fixtures that they don’t fulfil. It’s not fair but it is better than the alternative. It should have been the case all season. If that did happen and postponements were for Covid reasons and there were no obvious breaches of regulations by the club concerned then ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a)

I'm not picking a ruck here, but what the HELL is this about fixture congestion !!! We have 23 games to play in SEVENTEEN weeks !!!!! Sorry...but that ain't fixture congestion. :| Oh I don’t know, but off the top of my head: 26 games in the previous 17 weeks After an extended season last year With ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (a)

Hound Nothing in the interview from Pauno about swift or Puscas but did say Gibson back very soon, Araruna is back in non contact training and Yiadom back within the next 2 weeks (though not sure whether that means available for first 11)

yep great questioning by the local media again

Re: Rumour - Richards to Everton

Seen some of the reports on Twitter, would not be happy in the slightest and unlike what seems to be the majority opinion on Twitter, I wouldn't wish him well. We're getting mugged off by one of the biggest clubs in the world when we're already struggling to meet FFP. It just feels shit. Personally...

Re: Injury watch 2020/21

Pauno confirmed in the press conference today that Gibson is back next week, with Arauna, Meite and Moore by the end of Jan so looking good. Just Yiadom longer term so looking good.

Re: Rumour - Richards to Everton

how much are we missing a DOF? GetReading ran a piece the other week about it and intimated that the lack of contract activity was partly down to not having one. I'm not so sure myself More likely due to FFP during the summer/early part of the season - Pauno has said recently that the club had been...

if fit I'd like to see Tetek and Onen given a run out but I believe Onen tested positive for Covid before Swansea and Tetek appears to be injured.

Re: Most important player ever?

Going back a bit:

Robin Friday - 1975/76 promotion season

Kerry Dixon - 1982/83, we were relegated but on an unusually high 53 points and Dixon was the leading scorer in the entire football league

Re: Rival Watch

Luton game is very timely. Should be able to get a game into Puscas, maybe some more minutes for Swift, maybe McIntyre and then rest who else we need to. Might even have Meite, Araruna or Yiadom back We should be fit and firing for Brentford, no excuses Think Meite is a while off sadly, was a pic o...

Re: Next 6 games?

I was seriously worried we'd tail off after the Brum game losing Meite & Joao and then Richards and Moore soon after.

10 points from the following 6 games is incredible given the injuries and playing 3 top sides too.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (a)

Hendo Looks like Puscas has travelled for the game, along with Joao and Richards so much we could be starting to see a much better bench from here at the very least.

Pic of him on twitter on the pitch - maybe on the bench today?
