Re: Rival Watch

Stranded
tidus_mi2 Well, we'll remain 1st after game week 2 unless Bristol City beat Stoke by 3 goals or more today.

1-0 up half time. Hadn't noticed Nakhi Wells has moved there.

I'm sure he was there last season?

Re: BF I follow Barnsley

Good win. Yes - the high press and direct play caused us issues in the first half but they had 2 chances, one a routine save and the other a header from a corner I think that probably should have been put away. Sending off 1 - wasn't harsh, they were undone by a decent pass and it was a goal scoring...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (h) sponsored by a trip down t'pit

Didn’t watch the game today and I do understand the frustrations of those watching but sometimes you just have to let the game play out a little bit more. See it a lot with cricket as well (not on here really, but on Twitter), it England aren’t 30-0 off 4 overs it’s an unmitigated disaster. Yeah, s...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (h) sponsored by a trip down t'pit

This is one of the worst first halves I've ever seen in terms of opinions in a match thread. You idiots being negative need to stop trying to appease Ian, he isn't someone you need to listen to. The fact is he is an utter disgrace and has been deeply offensive to the manager since he took over. He ...

Re: Rival Watch

I am waiting for the first pro-footballer (or his club) to admit a player can't play due to Long Covid. 15% of people surviving Covid are developing Long-Covid. There must be some players seriously under par. Can anyone think of any "missing" names? Are you seriously suggesting 15% are ge...

Stranded Been picked up by everyone's favourite, I'm not a journalist anymore but still post like one Courtney Friday.

Yeah, I'm confused about this. Didn't he leave the Chronicle?

I believe he did, but he still appears to have the contacts the others don't which is what journalism is all about

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h) sponsored by Dean Morgan

For me, a surprisingly absolutely vital game - because I believe in momentum (small m!). Possibly three home games in eight days - first two eminently winnable - Luton and Barnsley and my god do we need some home form! Win those and that would send us into the MUFC game on a bit of a high. If we pu...

Re: RUMOUR: Rafael

Swift is our only creative player who has a strong track record at this level. Meite is a good goalscorer but doesn’t create much. Ejaria and Olise are a long way behind him and each created less than half as many chances per 90 as him last season. Holsgrove is only proven at third tier level, and ...

Zip Would have preferred a stronger side. Lose and it will be four defeats on the bounce in competitive fixtures.

Yeah but that hardly means anything...3 diff managers for a start.

This cup is meaningless even without a compressed season so why its going ahead this season is beyond me

Re: Season 20/21

I suspect there's nothing particularly special about Holsgrove, it's more the drip drip effect and straw that broke the camel's back so to speak. Like, I'm not fed up solely because of how Bowen was kicked out, but by the cumulative effect of Adkins, McDermott, Clement and Bowen's sackings and Clar...
