Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (h)

What a crucial win and well executed in the end. Lawrence looked awful apart from his wonder strike. Kudos to the manager for his tactics and, despite a lot of criticism from me all season, the goalkeeper did play his part with some Kodak saves. Onto Friday - what an away day that would have been if...

Re: Will Pauno start Joao on Monday.

Drop him for who? He needs to be given a chance to make amends for the miss or it'll ruin him. Coppell never used to drop players immediately after a mistake for that reason.

Re: On this day

https://twitter.com/ReadingFC/status/1356950567088762883 One of the best away days ever. We were so, so good this day and if we had ended up winning 6 or 7-0 it would not have been unexpected. I think this was the pinnacle for me. Why why why could we not have just clung on the following season? We...

Millsy a 1-0 defeat the other way with a brilliant royals performance will be much more encouraging.

One of the saddest, most ridiculous and pathetic statements I've ever read on this forum.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

Sanguine about this one. If we win, great. If we don't it's a blow but there's loads of points available still. It's not like we're even necessarily out the PO spots if we lose. At worst we'd be 3 points behind Bournemouth IF they won and won their game in hand. Easily recoverable. Completely and u...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (a)

Absolutely bricking it for this one. Haven't been this nervous for a game since the playoff final. Do or die.

I think we have the ability to get a result up there and I'm going to say we nick it 1-2

Re: Weekend Football

An absolutely fascinating evening in League 2 tonight: Southend hosting Walsall and Barrow hosting Grimsby. Probably do or die for the Mariners tonight? Grimsby give themselves a fighting chance with a massive, massive win. As if that wasn't enough, they host Walsall on Saturday where a win could s...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Fwiw, via a couple of sources, everything that turned bad behind the scenes at RFC post-McDermott promotion had at its root Nigel Adkins. Apparently rude, condescending and didn't care one iota for staff who had been at the club for 20 or 30 years. I have heard this too from a source close to the c...

Re: Which players are not getting a break ?

Ref ; John Smith comments , it’s not that Raphael is a bad goalkeeper - it’s just that he’s not a good one I’ve also yet to be convinced that Holmes is better on the pitch than the bench . I find both comments hard to disagree with, especially Holmes. What I will say is that there is more room for ...

I'd say Luke Southwood isn't getting a break. Time and time again we see Rafael make horrendous error after error and yet we still persist with him.

Re: A Few Thoughts on the Last Eight Games

Yeah, beause playing an injured Rinomhota would have made all the difference. To be honest, losing Olise, prodigious talent that he is, wouldn't be a disaster if we keep hold of Swift, Laurent and Rinomhota. Bring in a left winger, have Meite on the right and those 3 in the middle would give us gre...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

I think they have a really good chance of winning the Europa League as long as they don't draw Spurs. A good performance today-you wonder why they set out so often for 0-0s. They have a limited manager and that is the only thing he knows how to do. Sometimes they have a good performance playing the...
