Re: Handy websites you use to follow football

also, a great find some years ago was the Ipswich forum site as they store all English league tables after each game. so you pick a league, then select date range, and you can see how a table looked at any earlier point in the season you want https://www.twtd.co.uk/league-tables/competition:league-...

H-T 0-0 Reading 1 Liverpool 0 Booth 62 mins 2-0 Osho 70mins 3-0 Coke-Miles-Smith 74 mins F-T 3-0 The result of the other semi was Derby 1 West Ham 3. As far as i know the final is NOT 2 legged so presumably played at West Ham or Reading- we are above West Ham in the PL U 18 South table so we should...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Exeter City (h)

WestYorksRoyal Surely any free agent would be well short of match fitness even if we got them through the door in time?

Now we know who it ism I would imagine Tom Carroll will be on the bench. He was at Milton Keynes until last month and was getting some minutes for them.

Re: Question for the day.

Another question: what players who a elite now but wouldn't be in the 90s and players who'd be an elite player in the 90s but isn't now? Ooh good question. TAA I assume as olden day full backs were pure defenders. Imagine your Dylan Kerr's and Andy Bernal's of this world just wandering into midfiel...

Re: Confimred - Tom Carroll

I guess with Craig out for the season, this makes sense. That's especially the case if Elliott isn't going to be back soon.

My concern is he wasn't playing regularly in League Two for Milton Keynes before having his contract terminated a month ago.

Great win and will be a massive result to keep the women in the division.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (a)

Good result yesterday, especially coming from behind and not having Craig, Campbell and Ehibhatiomhan. Fantastic to see Yiadom return, especially as it seems Craig is going to be out for the rest of the season. Rushesha had a fairly solid game though. This was another match showing the importance of...

Re: Away followings

We are the best southern supported team in what is mainly a northern league. All the big away ends, aside Charlton, are in the north too. Imagine what our average would be if sides like Crawley, Leyton Orient or Bristol Rovers had grounds being enough to allow us to take 2/3k them - like at Wigan, ...

Re: Question for the day.

The tactics were very different. I wonder how good the teams from twenty-odd years ago would adapt to the current tactics.

That said, I think football was more entertaining back then because of sides being less refined and there being more scope for flair players.

Peterborough came from 2-0 down, including with a 91st minute equaliser, to take Wrexham to penalties in the EFL Trophy last night - before winning on penalties. Saves us from a Birmingham-Wrexham final.

Excellent interesting work, thanks! I think I found De'Juane Taylor-Crossdale on LinkedIn and looks like he’s “retired’ from the playing side. Looks to be an Academy Manager at Nigel James Elite Coaching as well as a Director of the Transition Football Academy and the head of sports and outreach st...

Not a bad set of players overall, could have done better when selling them on though. All are now in their late 20s. Player - current club Lewis Ward - Wimbledon Rob Dickie - Bristol City Dom Hyman - Blackburn Rovers Tennai Watson - Charlton Athletic Jack Stacey - Norwich City Nana Owusu - Enfield ...

Re: Scottish premier league.

Wouldn't surprise me if Gerrard went back. Barry Ferguson seems to be the bookies' favourite but that would be a completely mad appointment based on sentimentality. Seems a very odd decision, but at least its until the end of the season. Would say Clement was doing very well in Europe, but there's ...

Re: Scottish premier league.

Just looked up Clydebank. crikey, they've been through the ringer. didn't realise they had fallen so far Clydebank has had a succession of clubs called Clydebank. They’re well used to one club folding and being replaced by another (on average every 30 years or so). I lost track of them when the thi...

Remind me please you good people - who was in that very good Youth Cup c2016 that reached the FA YC Semi final (lost to P Roberts Fulham)? I can recall Stacey and Fosu on the wings, Kelly and Kuhl in midfield - Tshibola too? Full line-up appreciated. Same team for both legs: Lewis Ward Tennai Watso...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (h)

It's wholly impractical, but it does make me think there should be an independent match doctor and physio, rather than ones for each club, who do medical and injury assessments, and can tell the ref when they think someone is faking, to earn them a post match sanction (post match so it can be prope...

Losing 3-0 with that team is concerning. Still good to see Yiadom, Akande and various fringe players getting some good minutes though.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (h)

Few thoughts: 2) Club1871's contingent which adjoins the away fans are oxf*rd bellmonts. Birmingham threw a flare but our fans are not blameless. I saw about 20 at least jumping all over the barriers, throwing things, egging them on etc. I'm sick of idiots like this - usually at away games but at h...
