Re: Rival Watch

Scott Sonclair has just scored a stunner to put Preston 2-0 up away to Bournemouth

Seems they’re missing Stacey and Riquelme hasn’t looked great either

The Backroom Staff Thread

It’s occurred to me that it’s been quite a few years since we’ve found ourselves nearing the Xmas period without any controversy or questionable appointments in the coaching set up. From Bowen being announced under a grey cloud, to that crazy Mendonca chap, Steve Clarke being a snake or the question...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield Wednesday (a) sponsored by Jack Witham

Decent squad up at Weds. Good midweek battle for Rino and Laurent on the cards. Bannan, Kachunga, Izzy Brown all decent playmakers. Reach, Rhodes and Paterson can do damage on their day. Seems they’ve been let down by a weak defensive line. Can’t wait for this.

Re: January window

Young and hungry loanees would be good to see. Like others have suggested a wideman or forward would do nicely. Liam Delap (Man City) or Ellis Simms (Everton) two promising players in PL2. We’ll probably look at Benfica / Porto / Sporting knowing our scouts though

Re: BFS - Bristol City (H)

Just serves to highlight that playing both Aluko / Semedo in the absence of Meite / Olise doesn’t give us the same energy, defensive cover or creativity. They’re good replacements if one of Meite, Olise or Ejaria are out but maybe not both playing at the same time :?:

Omar Richards Contract

This lad has the potential to be one of our greatest ever LB’s imo. All those years ago when we signed Gunter + McLeary for our right wing the plan was clearly they would be our long term solution on that side. Omar should be our long term solution to build our left side - he is so in tune with Moor...

The referee and officials almost totally ruined that. Which makes it all the more sweeter!!!

Players and coaching staff all look delighted. Good stuff

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (h) sponsored by Scott Murray

Looking far more solid and glimmers of this team getting back to where they were pre Coventry. Defence need to keep up the performance for the second half.

First goal will be crucial - just need to keep getting the ball in to João’s feet and the goals will come

Re: Veljko Paunović - Whelmgauge

Just watching Ted Lasso (superb btw, highly recommend it!) and with the fictional coach moving across the pond from America and all the cultural changes it got me thinking - is Paunovic still living at the Mad Stad? That’s really, really sh1t if that is the case - I mean it’s hardly third world prob...

Huge game on Saturday imo, potentially our biggest of the season. You need to win your home games and for a team that thrives on confidence, we need to stay in and around the playoffs
