Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h)

I know we've had some shit refs this season but this one was bad, 1min ET for the first half and 4 for the second when it should have been double that. I'll let him off for the most blatent handball but the foul shortly afterwards was a foul every time outside of the penalty area. Follow that up wit...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Rotherham United (h)

Fireworks after were as disappointing as the game , fitting for a miserable cold wet November day. Considering we have a new manager, this was a woeful performance , didn't see anything difference from Hunt time, and nothing to give hope Charlie's wonder goal saved the day but apart from that it wa...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game - 24/25 page 225 onwards

Only realised recently just how far from Salford the Peninsula Stadium actually is. Old Trafford and the Etihad are practically the same distance away, whereas I'd assumed they'd just be over the water from OT. I was going to do a game at Salford, thinking it would be walkable from either Salford C...

Re: World Cup 2026

All 3 Scottish goals were good, as was the Danish second goal. Their first goal was a very dodgy penalty, is the penalty area the inside or outside of the line? It seemed to me Roberston was just touching the outside of the line and the attacker threw himself over his outstretched leg. If it's the i...

Snowflake Royal Fancy a win. Rotherham are in fine form, but that just means they're due a hiccup.

Probably tempting fate here, but I watched the Luton v Rotherham game last Saturday and both teams looked pretty poor.

Sherif looked decent as a target man but also went off injured.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stevenage (h)

The first 30mins is as well as we have played all season, slightly better than Cardiff. It was a pity we couldn't get a second goal but we dominated a team who were second in the table before the game - quite how I'm not sure as they offered nothing except to pounce on the mistake from Abrefa. It wa...

Re: Blackpool (A)

In for this, although I doubt many others will be - 12:30 kick-off; in Blackpool; on TV. Not been myself since they've completed their stadium redevelopment. Went up there when the stand behind the goal was a mound of rubble and the stand we'll be in was a temporary stand. The stand is behind the g...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Carlisle United (h)

I left at 90min when the ridiculous 7mins were added, I expected 3 or 4, To let in 1 goal to a team that had really had zero chances in 90mins is shambolic, to let it 2 is a disaster, We played ok in the first half and were well worth the lead. The usual half time team talk turn us into shit and we ...

Re: CONFIRMED: Leam Richardson

Snowflake Royal
PieEater Is his name pronounced Leam as in team, or Le-am as in Liam.

If it's the latter I'm with Winston and hate him already.

It's an alternate spelling of Liam.

I hate it.

I expect he has to tell everyone who sees his spelling how to pronounce it, "it's Le-am not Leam".

Re: Hunts gone

It must be a tough call if you're the coach and get the manager gig knowing that you're probably moving from a safe job to one where you'll get sacked sooner or later.

Presumably these days managers come with a team so a coaches job isnt' really all that safe either.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Doncaster Rovers (h)

Suprised there's no mention of Stevens, I think he's a poor keeper and can't wait to get Piera back. We'd of had a few more points if Piera had played the last few games.

Hunt hasn't had much luck with injuries, but I'm not sure what other choice he had with a backup keeper.

Re: Poll: Should Noel Hunt be sacked?

I was in the Hunt out camp but the last few games he seems to have the players on side, making more effort, so I'm back to wait a few more games.

I still think he's tactically poor, and nobody else would employ him as a manager.

I feel we are due a win as Cardiff would have gone down when we get relegated except for our points deduction. We're due some karma.

Having said that I expect we'll get thrashed 3-0

Re: Club culture - are problems deeper than management?

We're a relatively big club in league 1 and for a lot of teams playing us we're a scalp they what to take and raise their game. Are we though? A third of the league are ex-PL clubs, and three of them were more recently in the PL than us. We don't have a history of winning much, we don't have a larg...

Re: Club culture - are problems deeper than management?

We're a relatively big club in league 1 and for a lot of teams playing us we're a scalp they what to take and raise their game. New players coming in feel the pressure working under premiership facilities and don't perform. We've only had relative success with academy players before the motivational...
