Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (h)

On another day we win that comfortably. Their first goal came from absolutely nowhere, and their second goal was a lucky deflection after the ref missed an obvious foul. Marriott's finishing is ridiculous. His shots to goals ratio must be one of the best in the division. New signings look very good....

John Madejski's Wallet Sick of Doyle being so damned lightweight and meh

Sick of Reading players getting obviously fouled every week and jobsworth refs giving everything to the opposition.

Yep, was 100% a foul, then Marriott gets penalised up the other end for breathing on someone.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (h)

Vision I think we can safely say whoever said Robert’s doesn’t pass the halfway line was talking shite.

I think that was about Nyambe.

Re: One more in.

Crazy! Next you'll tell me we got given a goal once when we didn't score. Has happened twice actually, against Rochdale at Elm Park in about 1975 and then again against Watford at Vicarage Road in 2008 Or that we had a player sent off who was nowhere near the scene of the foul. Happened to Gareth D...

Re: US Political situation - Any impact on Reading FC?

BTW I have decided to do my own personal one-off protest by staying away tomorrow. It has nothing to do with my missus moaning about the chip on my windscreen and her fear that I will get killed when the screen caves in on the M3. Anyway I will watch by streaming and the club already has my ...

Re: Champions League, Europa League & Europa Vauxhall Conference League 25/26

Since you mentioned them, maybe last season but definitely this ,I have followed their progress with interest. They really are a good side aren't they and , despite their successes , continue to be over-rated. Yeh, I watched them a lot last season in the Europa League, and backed them to win it at ...

Re: a RB and a LB signings imminent

I think Brogue's source is the same as my son's as , over the past couple of years, their info has so often been identical. So he has done well and way before the current lot came in. Keep it going Brogue-the reason why I joined this site some 20 years or so ago was to see valid rumours but general...

Re: a RB and a LB signings imminent

That chap from the Chronicle who only yesterday dismissed Brogue’s post is trying to claim the glory for knowing about Nyambe. :D I’m glad you spotted that too! The guy is a tool His behaviour on X is ridiculous. Assume you saw his lengthy 'victim' post yesterday? His reply to Brogue "I don't ...

Re: a RB and a LB signings imminent

Played for Richardson at Wigan. Has had a lot of injuries in the last few years. On 27 February 2024, Nyambe would pick up a quadriceps injury in a match against Charlton Athletic, in March it was confirmed that he had surgery on this injury and would be ruled out for remainder of the 2023–24 season...

Also talk of Mateta to Villa. Glasner's got one foot out the door too. Chance of Palace going down this season? You'd think the gap is too big, but they're a bit of a mess at the moment.

I've had a few quid on Brahim Diaz to be top scorer - 14/1. He's got 9 goals in 16 games since switching to Morocco. This came in 8) despite him missing a panenka in the 24th minute of injury time  to win the tournament. They went on to lose 1-0 AET. Good punting Pepe and did I hear that he wa...

blythspartan Jack Hunt has just been released by Stockport. Were we going to sign him before Hunt was sacked?

He's 35, so would be pretty impressive if we managed to make our back four even slower.

*Interestingly he's dropped "Reading FC CEO" from his LinkedIn. Now just says "former professional footballer".
