Re: Best Set Piece Takers - Past and Present

Caskey could hit some cracking free kicks. Was it against Bournemouth that he came on and scored one with his first touch? Might have been the 3-3 crackerjacker of a game??
Agree with all above though, Gylfi is looking like something else, hope we can hang on to him for at least one more season.

Re: Gunnarsson

Boris - absolutely shocking in the home game, albeit played out of position. Tonight he was man of the match and I don't know where the hell he pulled that perfomance from. Awe inspiring When you are part of a defence that only lets one goal in against Liverpool, you did not have a shocking game. H...

BarryWhiteRFC Together scared the s**t out of the Preston c***s.

Are they Barry White lyrics?
Thought we'd get hammered tonight so great result, Saturday should provide another stern test.

Re: Biggest piece of robbery?

£500k for Hughes was hilarious. £3.5m for halford was outstanding, particularly as the reason we offloaded (apart from being sh1te) was an allegeged cocaine problem - something Roy Keane was not happy to find out about after the deal, hence a quick move on from there. Whether this is true or not is ...

Re: Back from the game

cisse 7?,little 7?, kitson 7? just because we won doesnt mean we can dish out ridiculous ratings. they did nothing Indeed, Kitson and Cisse were bloody awful. Good to see us starting to play some better stuff in the second half, Long was outstanding all game. Kebe frustrates and then puts in two cr...

Don Finch I'm 99.8% sure Sonko did it during one game, and was the only player to do so until last night. Sonks was probably trying to pass to Shorey, I forget exactly how.

He cleared the roof - but it came back off the girder and back onto the pitch

Ha, that's why I left that 0.2% chance in there :)

Re: A Mad Stad First?????

Pretty sure Sonko did it against Leicester in 2005 Good memory! From HNA? match report: "Other than that, the highlight of the half was a Sonko clearance hitting the roof of the East Stand, which to my knowledge is a first at the Madejski Stadium!" So, did it just hit the roof, or go out ...

Riseley Spare a thought for me you bastards! I come all the way from Pompey to get my regular dose of shite football.

You poor b@stard, it was hard enough getting a bus from Reading town centre! Sounds bad, but I'm almost happy that I can't make the game on Saturday.

Re: Alex Pearce

Pearce played because he's dead hard, and he's a man. He's also been excellent for us at the back, so let the lad play. On the other topic, Stretch has been superb this season, and the most consistent performer in our team - how anyone can say different is beyond me.

Re: Charlton - Back From The Game...

Marek was completely anonymous first half, but that wasn't his fault because he was playing piggy in the middle. He managed to see a bit more of it second half but didn't really have any cutting edge for once. I'm a big fan of Marek but couldn't say he really did anything great tonight. It's a shame...

Re: Charlton - Back From The Game...

Another hopeless display by Reading in all honesty, the first half was tedium personified. The only way we'd score was from a penalty or an own goal And yet we could have gone in at HT 3-1 up and no-one would have batted an eyelid from the chances we had The point is we're playing like the England ...

Re: Charlton - Back From The Game...

Woodcote has hit the nail on the head - outdated managerial tactics. I'm so fukking bored of waching Reading play these last two seasons that I can't see myself renewing next season, promoted or not. To the person who said that nothing came from central midfield - that's because we didn't pass the f...

Re: Kitson to return?

What is most exciting is the level of passing ability will go through the roof if Marek, Dave and T.W.Pele all take to the pitch at the same time. I just hope they can both get and stay fit.

The White Pele and Big Dave return to the Biscuitmen? I think I may have to knock one out. Re: Snowballs spastistics

Whilst I appreciate that the UK has become a touch over PC we must make a stand against the blatant and unnecessary comparisons that can be drawn from the title. Indeedy, no need for it. But this Roberto is some kind of genius, I mean he's doing a degree and everything. Probably at some ex-poly min...

...observations 1-10 ....are spot on, can't say I disagree with any of them. Can you bullet point some more threads please. 9 is debateable..... I'm reserving judgement on that as the evidence is contradictory so far. Ok, agreed, I would plump for us being possibly the best team in the league. I ha...
