Re: Speculation Nigel Adkins new DOF?

WoodleyRoyal
Old Man Andrews Adkins was lied to and mislead here from the start. Think he gets a lot of abuse that's unwarranted. Lovely bloke too.

Massive +1 to that

Yeah +1 as well, seems to get a lot of hate but I can never work out why.

Right manager at the wrong time.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (h) sponsored by Adam Federici

give it a rest with the victim stuff Denver - the quote in question was: 'Rino is so overrated its criminal' That's a little different than just suggesting Rino is a little overrated (which is actually a sentiment I do agree with) Some (most) on here think he is our best player possibly ever. Yeah,...

Old Man Andrews Anyone know any pubs in Reading showing the game?

The Nags is probably a good shout, but not sure, only every watched a Reading red-button game at home.

Re: Speculation Nigel Adkins new DOF?

I guess it is conceivable that he still lives in the area and just wanted to take a few matches in.

Probably has a couple of contacts at the club still.

Re: FREE travel to 15 away games

I know it is about 8 months away, but I can imagine Blackburn, as the last away game of the season, will probably be quite popular.

Especially as we would've celebrated promotion about 4 weeks before

Re: The Local Journo Thread

Here speaks someone who has clearly never played the game at any level ever. Not often I agree with JS, but I feel myself agreeing on this. Aiming for the corners each time would 100% result in more missed penalties as the margin of error is so small. The margin of error in kicking the ball a small...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (h) sponsored by Adam Federici

We need a big, tough man to take pressure of Puscas. Meite? Joao will score plenty, of that I've no doubt. I reckon he was massively underused at Weds personally. Every time I've seen him he looks a quality player. Suffered for the fact Weds have about 20 strikers more than anything else This is wh...

Re: The Local Journo Thread

:| Obviously i get that players miss them. But there is no excuse for them not to be aimed right in the corner of the goal. Why does any player faff about trying to send the keeper the wrong way. Practice hitting it in a corner, over and over and over. If you execute correctly, the goalie will not ...

Re: The Local Journo Thread

Greatwesternline Every pen should be hitting the side netting as it goes in. No idea why footballers attempt anything else. Its a very very repeatable mechanical action, they should be perfect at it.

Re: VAR

but if anyone can explain how the lads in the VAR booth couldn’t see that Pogba clearly dived before eventually manufacturing contact with Coasy’s foot I’d really appreciate it. I don't think I've seen a team complain less about giving away a pen ^this. Sometimes you can tell a lot from the o...

Re: The Local Journo Thread

Hound Was the perfect height to save and the obvious direction to hit it though. I Didn’t think he’d score when he decided to take it tbh

I think it's one of those if it goes in, you say good pen and if the 'keeper saves, it is the right height for him.

I didn't notice on Sunday (I may just have not been looking) but I can't remember seeing the David Brent flag in C1871, which was brilliant against Sheff Wed.

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

Watched the match again on tv. Still can't get over how good Swift was. He looked a different player to me. As well as the clever touches and great through balls there were tackles! At least 4, I reckon. And dont recall any daft passes to the opposition. And he looked fitter, quicker and stronger t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (h) sponsored by Adam Federici

Rino shat all over Swift last season. +1 and that’s from a Swift ‘fan’ It's odd to be comparing them because they're totally different types of player, but for the record - Swift is clearly more technically skilled and has a better range of vision and passing for opening up defences and general att...

This will be a really good test for the team and hopefully a positive result will result in a massive confidence boost and allow us to kick on from there.

Might screw us on Loader if he doesn't sign a new contract. However, if you read the article, it says this is only plans at this stage.

Re: The Local Journo Thread

Feel like the pressure of strong competition is getting to Meite a bit. Obviously a ridiculous DM and it shouldn't be the case but surely most pros are used to receiving a ton of absolute shit on social media ? This followed up by him calling jlow out and following him storming off the pitch at 90m...

Re: Will we get found out again?

Can we play down comparisons with Clarke's blistering start in 15/16? There are several major differences for me: 1) Nick Blackman had the best 6 weeks of his career, but let's be honest, we all knew at the time it wouldn't last. We found it hilarious when Derby paid us £3m or so in January (the sa...
