You're both right of course by the letter of the law but I think a bit of common sense should have been applied

Re: Weekend Football

Considering the bloke wasn't exactly dawdling off it seems a bit much to give him a second yellow, the ref's got himself on national telly though so I'm sure he's delighted

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Franchise is right, if Liverpool go on to win the title this year they should definitely turn down the trophy because some keepers have made errors against them

Re: England - the future....

I think I'm totally done with watching England qualifiers now. Their wins are seemingly inevitable and you have to listen to Hoddle's drivel and the rest of the monstrosity that is ITV when they're on.

At least when I watch a Scotland qualifier I'm not 100%* sure of the result

Re: VAR

Today’s VAR question arises from yesterday’s Liverpool v Arsenal game. Aubamayang goes through on goal, offside and proceeds to stand around in the box waiting for Matip to tackle him, the ball going out for a corner. As it happens the Arse fail to score from the set piece but if they had would the ...

Re: VAR

I didn’t see all the weekend’s games so have no opinion on the Man City VAR “controversy” but if anyone can explain how the lads in the VAR booth couldn’t see that Pogba clearly dived before eventually manufacturing contact with Coasy’s foot I’d really appreciate it. The review of Wolves’ goal was a...

Re: Gunter, GMac and 'the Reading way'?

Whatever the deal is with Gunts and GMac training with the U23s while we were trying to shift them off the books now that the transfer window is closed it seems absolutely mental to me that they're not training with the full squad now just in case they're needed

Re: VAR

You misunderstand me sir, there's encroachment by attackers and encroachment by defenders on your and the FA's table but what if there's encroachment by attackers AND defenders, as happened on Saturday but despite DD's pre-season advice pundits failed to mention it

Re: VAR

Sanguine It was what Shearer on MoTD and the chaps on Goals on Sunday both made of it, so might be a tweak. A welcome one if so.

Pundits have such a good track record of knowing the laws of course

There were of course attacking players encroaching just as much as Rice, can't see that on Papes's table
