Re: Champions League/Europa League 2019/20

Not quite the 47 million that Winston claimed the other day though!

Re: Best/Worst Pundit

Martin Tyler simply has to go . Quite a few others saying it on Twitter now so I can't be the only one. His style now oozes arrogance: he refuses to get excited as if he knows the goal is coming and it's a formality. Best: Ian Darke - makes the BT subscription almost value for money. This might be ...

2 world wars, 1 world cup Good question. When's the last time we had a keeper as PoM?

Would've thought that AAH got one?

I wouldn't have. He was dreadful.

13 away is made somewhat less exciting by the fact that we're scheduled to play the same game that day already

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

No Virgil definitely made the defence seem a bit shakier than it has. As much as they've prioritised this over the rumbelows cup I don't think they're going all out and will just hope to avoid any injuries

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Salah definitely got the ball stuck in his feet a lot last night, I wondered if the pitch had any part to play in that or if it was down to Monterrey's dogged defending where they were surrounding him any time he got anywhere near the box. Great resilience from him and the team to finally eke out a ...

Re: ArsenaLOL

As prolly the biggest Arsenal h8er on here, I preferred it when they were “good”, enjoying it when they then inevitably lost to anybody decent. This is just boring now. Ditto Chelsea tbf. Chelsea have been decent this season but they have fallen away badly in the last 5 games W1 L4 - seems like the...

Re: VAR

To be honest, I really can’t stand VAR but that’s down to the players 100%. It’s schoolboy stuff not to play to the whistle Yep not a VAR thing but can understand why players stopped when you actually see a flag go up - they are still conditioned that once the flag is up you stop - most refs would ...

Yep VAR proven t be absolute jokes again last night, the Vardy booking obviously and then the penalty that wasn't given against Van Dijk (although quite why the MOTD pundits thought it was a red I don't know)

Sanguine Probably late on this, but I found out today that Tammy Abraham's first name is actually Kevin.

That's disappointing, especially in light of what I found out recently, namely that his brother is called Timmy

This was an interesting piece written about Amazon's coverage: https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2019/dec/03/amazon-prime-video-tv-football-premier-league-broadcast-stream I liked the Jenas comment. I feel like that was the only line not straight out of a "Book of things to say about A...

Re: TV rights

I thought Tyler was a Wycombe fan. Brian Moore was a Gillingham fan (and life president IIRC) as well as a vastly over rated, butt clenchingly shit commentator with a blatant overfondness for Arsenal. And his head looked uncannily like London Planetarium My favourite Brian Moore story was when he c...

Re: TV rights

It looked and sounded like any other televised game as far as I could see. Only watched for a bit as my Smart TV app didn't like it, although it wasn't the whole app, Paddington 2 would have played fine. It worked fine on the PS4 mind you
