Re: What do people expect from a football team and manager

I want to watch exciting, sexy football, I also want to win lots of games and get promoted and have success. I want to like the manager and for him to give excellent post match interviews. I don’t want us to spend too much, I want the ground to be done up, I want us to keep our cat 1 academy but I ...

Re: What do people expect from a football team and manager

Most kids will support a big premier league team, especially with us being so close to London. When we have a good season, playoffs / premier league of course our attendances increase. Unless you’re a ‘real’ fan, given we’ve been such a shambles for so many years now it’s not a surprise to see only ...

Re: Bolton fall out

Completely off topic although that’s not unusual on here, but is anyone else noticing harbinger of doom messages appearing on x? It’s the usual ambiguous crap, but I have seen several posts suggesting our style of football should be the least of our concerns. Just wondering if EPK or anyone else ha...

Re: Bolton fall out

Most people's gripes are having something, anything, to gripe about, hence all the goalpost moving. I don’t see anyone complaining about the ppg or league position- the two metrics SDR used. People are complaining about the poor performances, poor individual performances, boring football, poor tact...

Re: Bolton fall out

The constant shifting of goalposts winds me up. We're going down, it's disastrous. We're not in the Play Offs it's an outrage. Anyone would be better than X, [next is better than X] - not good enough. It's a results business - results are good - performances are rubbish. OMG the sky is falling and ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (h)

Always gutting to concede so late on but a point against the third place side and gaining a point on Huddersfield, as others have said.

Aaaaaand, we aren’t going to be in a relegation battle or go down 8)

Thank you for clearing it up

It seems to be listed on Sky but not listed as available on Now which is annoying

The match has now appeared on the Now listing.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (h)

I much preferred the 3-1 win to us at your place in 2007. Both our clubs not only in the Premier League but fighting for a European spot, crazy. You still beat us to it by one point anyway regardless of that result but it was an epic season for us. Great memories. 2007, I remember it well. A...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (h)

Pretty sure you are right but not sure why. It's a full league 1 schedule on Tuesday so don't know why they are only showing 9 of the 11 games that evening. And we're not one of them Correction, we are on, just scrolled down the sky list and we are at the bottom as we are kicking off at 8 pm Apolog...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (h)

I find the questioning of how we're winning a bit bizarre. We have the division's joint top scorer, someone who has always had a high goals to minutes ratio and is exceptional at finishing and anticipation. And for all the 'he adds nothing but goals' he's got 3 assists too. We have one of the divis...

Attendance of over 700  to see Se Dons beat Greenwich 2-1, 90th minute winner in top vs second For a step 6 game thats quite nuts, especially for a Monday Is there a record kept anywhere of attendances at those levels? http://www.nonleagueattendances.co.uk Doesn't work Strange, worked earlier.

Re: Play-off/relegation watch.

Looking at our next 5 Wycombe (H) - Last 6 away games read 1-4-1, they love an away draw, could see the same here. Bolton (H) - Last 6 away, 2-2-2, but their points have come against teams in the bottom half, feel we could nick the win Port Vale (A) - Last 6 Home, 1-1-4 but overall, 2-1-3, suggests...

Re: On this day

My over-riding memory of Porterfield's tenure was a turgid 1-0 home defeat against Bolton that pushed me to the brink of giving up The second half of the season was the worst I've ever seen and that includes the last 5 years.
