Re: FREE travel to 15 away games

Pretty disgusted that Huddersfield are charging £30 for tickets. I live close by but won't be attending.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (h) sponsored by Adam Federici

I like having 3 at the back - especially when your full backs aren't the best defenders and you're not playing with wingers.

Re: Gunter, GMac and 'the Reading way'?

We should buy out their contracts and let them move to foreign clubs whilst the window is still open.

Re: BFTG - Wycombe Away

In a word - Disjointed. But kind of understandably so.... There is some quality raw material to work with. Jose just needs to settle on his way of playing and let the players bed in. Massive difference to where we were a year ago. Agreed. I mean, even the season we got promoted under McDermott (ble...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (a) sponsored by Lawrie Sanchez

This was a good fixture for us right now. Gave a lot of the new guys a chance to get some game time in a low stakes situation. The result was almost irrelevant, but winning gives us another tie like this.

Re: Financial Fair Play

Would be interesting to know the terms of the sale of the ground and Bearwood. What security of tenure do we have ? You would hope we have a very long exclusive lease Are there any restrictive covenants in place ? Do we just have the right to use the ground for matches or can we still generate non ...

Re: Financial Fair Play

Comparison to Coventry is just wrong. The football club (and its owners) have never owned the freehold or leasehold to the stadium. They were always a tenant to a council controlled entity. SISU's original beef was the rent didn't go down when they were relegated from the Premier League and remaine...

Re: Financial Fair Play

I saw on another thread that we've done the current trick of selling assets (training ground) to the owner to generate revenue. It's a one off injection - but it could potentially be worth multiple millions. Surprised that the rules allow it, but so be it. There's actually fairly little downside to...

Re: Financial Fair Play

Would anyone like to make a guess of where we are with FFP after the 'splurging' of the last couple of weeks? We’ve paid one transfer fee so far and that seems to have involved little or no real outlay. If Puscas joins that pushes it a bit, but hard to imagine we’ve gone from a self imposed embargo...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

The way the academy players work is that you introduce them into a team that is strong enough that they are not essential to it. That gives them a chance to develop and for us to judge their ability without risky poor results. You don't just throw a load of untested academy players into a starting e...

Re: BFTG - Sheffield

It just goes to show how luck we were being able to bring in Martinez in last season. And how much of a battle we have that we only just avoiding relegation with him performing at such a high level.

If we want to stay in the league we need a minimum of a left-back and striker.

Re: BFTG - Sheffield

Loader was poor. Hard to judge the keeper, most players would have conceded those three. Good effort from Meite, Miazga, Swift, Adam. At one point Adam was the only one properly chasing back to deal with counters. Referee was an embarrassment. If a two handed shove to Miazga's head isn't a penalty,...

Re: Free away travel

Seen a couple of idiots whinging on Social Media that this offer is unfair as it discriminates against fans who choose to make their own way to the game. One would hope they are taking the piss, but we are know they won't be. Although . . . . . never going to happen, but if the club could negotiate...
