Agree re the stockpiling. It seems that the only reason to suppor this change is that the "big" clubs have too many players on the books, and need competitive games. As mentioned, loans would acheive this, or noth buying too many players in the first place. I can't see how this would be go...

99 was a very tough run, but who did they go out to last year?
Personally, I think its got to be harder to rack up the wins if getting into it requires you to win the league first, BUT, once you're in it, its going to be easier with just one team from each country.
