Re: Bowen Out.

WBA away is actually our best performance of the season imo Thought we could have been onto something really good at the time It was up there but IIRC we also got pretty lucky that a penalty wasn't awarded 5 mins in which could have made for a very different game. Yeah, agreed. Thought it was a sto...

Re: Bowen Out.

Having watched every minute of all 3 games. More questions than answers still remained. The squad wasn't up to the style that Gomes was trying to impose. The latter two were exactly the sort of "digging in" away results we're lauding Bowen for surely. Another day both games would have bee...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (a) sponsored by Simon Church

Hmmm. Free travel doesn't offset the cost. If they charged £20, we'd still offer free travel. So everyone is paying £19 more than is reasonable. You make a compelling case Hound :) . Lets be honest no Championship club has a right to charge that kind of money, its bloody robbery. West Ham did it to...

Re: Bowen Out.

Yes, however, thats undoubtedly quite common in football. They are still professionals, you keep them involved and ready for action when needed, and if someone had come in, all the better. Publicly sidelining them just made it look like we'd take anything to get rid of them, and upset the players t...

Re: Bowen Out.

The point was, pre-season we couldn't fund the replacements until those players were gone. Yes, however, thats undoubtedly quite common in football. Re: Modou Barrow

The suggestion he's not a footballer is one of the stupidest things I've read on here for a while, even for obvious hyperbole. Bit lazy maybe, certainly poor, though improved, defensively. Also, disinterested is impartial or not motivated by personal gain. Y'all mean un interested. Yours percy Peda...

Re: Modou Barrow

I don’t think his time has passed. Different manager now who may get more out of him. We are so short of genuine wingers and pace that it would seem a no brainer to keep him unless he has issues with the club. We’ll probably sign some in the summer though We will need to but at this level Barrow is...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (a) sponsored by Simon Church

Lads. We have already played 40 games this season. No way should we look to rest players for a cup competition. The league is our focus. Winning games in the league, finishing as high as possible and playing our key players together where possible to further build on their teamwork and understandin...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (a) sponsored by Simon Church

I think it’s got to be the same XI as last weekend, I’d probably have Pele ahead of Olise for this game if he’s fit but doesn’t look like it Will be a tricky game but as the stats a couple of pages before (before OMA’s drivel) show, Leeds’ recent form isn’t great so it’s an opportunity for us to pe...

Re: VAR

The Willian one has contact, but not sure there’s enough to do down which is another discussion for itself The Maguire one wasn’t a red card, just like the Son one wasn’t a few weeks ago against Chelsea Chelsea’s first has obvious contact, not sure if Fred pushed Azpilicueta in the first place thou...

Re: Bone Marrow

He has been nothing short of wasted on the left. Still a good player, don't get me wrong. Just nowhere near his best (in my opinion of course - you may well be right, it's just how I see it obviously).   to use his through ball to Meite against Shef Wed as an example of left w...

Re: Leeds (A) Saturday February 22nd

Demand inflates prices, unfortunately demand to go and watch Leeds is high. Nobody here would run a business for less if demand out stripped supply. Half of Readings allocation has been sold off to home fans so in theory they are quite happy less then a thousand of you are travelling. Those not goi...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Yes i’m wrong the coverage of the academy is brilliant. 1 RFC website - no preview of tonights match at all 2 Reading Fc academy twitter have mentioned it today but many people i would suggest won’t know the game is on because i’s not on the website 3 still no mention anywhere of last Saturday’s se...

Re: Player of the season so far...

Mans got a point. Football is more complicated than you’re making out. Bruh. I said "assists are a useful metric to show how many chances a player creates" and you think that is simplifying football? I said if assists are a junk stat based on the other factors involved then it's the same ...

Re: Player of the season so far...

1. Swift
2. Morrison
3. Rafael
4. Moore
5. Pele

If Meite, Ejaria, Yiadom etc can improve consistency in the last bit of the season, they'll be in for a late shout too
