Re: Omar Richards interest

Obita has done enough to earn a new contract. I don’t care if he can’t play three times a week. He has played regularly enough to justify a new deal. Yiadom will still be with us next season. Howe is gone. Blackett is going. Gunter likely to be going although I think he’s worth a two year deal on l...

Re: Ex -Player Podcasts (Cureton/McShane)

listened to the McShane one. Was pretty interesting. Basically without giving spoilers, said he was constantly injured for much of the last 2 years, hence why he was rubbish when he did play Nothing too juicy, though was very very critical of the recruitment policy over the last couple of years, wi...

Re: 2019/20 Season - How will it end?

A lot of players contracts end on 30th June so I would have thought the authorities would want the season to end by this date at the latest. The current season could perhaps restart in May and finish by end June. This assumes the Euros will be put back a year. The new season could then be put back ...

Happier moments 5 years ago today (on a Monday too) as a certain Hal, Garath and Jamie scored to send us to Wembley

Can’t believe that was five years ago

Re: 2019/20 Season - How will it end?

Keeping hold of Filipe Anderson? They might take it, tbh. He’s not very good Been iffy this year, but was excellent last year. Not sure, he had a good purple patch last year IIRC but for what they paid, he was slightly underwhelming Think he’s one of those players who is good technically but not ph...

Re: 2019/20 Season - How will it end?

Hendo
6ft Kerplunk Someone should tell Karen Brady that if the season gets cancelled that it'll start again in August but all clubs must have the same manager and players as they did in August '19. See how keen she is on it then.

Re: 2019/20 Season - How will it end?

I've seen suggestions that we should just end this season at the end of June, cut out the Euros and start next season at the usual time. Which doesn't make sense because: A - no-one knows when this pandemic is going to end so there's no way of knowing when the season may feasibly end B - footballers...

Re: The a result of the Day Thread

Just to keep this thread alive for as long as possible, good win for Ebbsfleet at Halifax and four goals for Notts County too to nil

On a more serious note, not particularly sure why National League games are still going ahead and some national league managers are questioning the decision

Green Yeh, maybe.

Think I saw a pig flying earlier too.

Mmm bacon

They might as well keep my money, I haven't bothered with most the winter games anyway.

At least you may end up saving money on your Charlton top half finish

Re: 2019/20 Injury Watch

From Bowen's presser this lunchtime: No need to rush Joao back now, should try and ease him in gently Boye has also gone to Italy for his injury, not sure that's totally logical Agreed re: Joao, happy for him to sit out a little bit longer and then maybe start getting back into games towards the en...

Re: 2019/20 Injury Watch

Hendo From Bowen's presser this lunchtime:

-Lucas Joao took part in full training
-Chris Gunter and Sam Baldock also both available
-Tom McIntyre still out

No need to rush Joao back now, should try and ease him in gently

Boye has also gone to Italy for his injury, not sure that's totally logical

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Adrian threw that game. Not just him though was it? Missed a hatful of chances, which they should really be taking Well it kinda is just him in terms of letting goals in, yes. He is the goalkeeper. In seriousness Liverpool were the better side by far but Atletico just seem to have this animal insti...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Feel a bit for Adrian, he’s going to get slaughtered for this. End of the day, they missed too many chances in the first place to not win in the 90 minutes Bit surprised he brought Milner on for Chamberlain though, felt they missed that linkup once the sub was made. If he had to come off to fatigue,...

Re: Best centre back pairing

As I said, I'll reserve judgement on both Osho and McIntyre in the hope that they progress. Osho looks a confident ball-playing centre-back, quite quick but may lack a physical presence for the position. McIntyre again isn't the biggest and to me looks a bit awkward. Time will tell for both. I real...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stoke City (h) sponsored by John Halls

Would keep the same team but bring Olise in the middle and shift Ejaria to the left Would then bring Baldock on the bench for Adam and choose one fullback on there out of Gunter/Blackett/Obita Stoke are a well drilled team and will look to frustrate, hence 0-0 at Blackburn, 1-0 at WBA etc. Think if ...

Re: Ex Players

I’m not sure whether there are specific circumstances, but noticed Kelly has played barely an hours football for Oxford, Barrett seems to have been dropped altogether for Bristol R and Howe seems to be permanently benched for Blackpool I know the second two have time on their side but that’s a bit ...

Re: Rival Watch

That second half was utterly deflating. It felt like the moment I realised we weren’t going to get anywhere with Gomes at the helm - got worked out so easily and comprehensively We had gone into the game having recovered well from the opening League defeats. I expected us to win and move into the t...
